Re: The Lawsuits Thread
I'm surprised Amber didn't subpoena the one who said she had a nearly 30 year relationship with Johnny.

Latest extended video breakdown of AH’s Counterclaim and it’s merits, if any. Very well done:

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
Agree it is an excellent video, she really has got better and better.
Congratulations to everyone who has been named as a bot, and commiserations to those she has egregiously left out. Bring a lawsuit and demand inclusion!
Presumably everyone named is more than happy to turn up at court and put her right? I particularly hope that the lady who started the petition (apologies don't know if she is on here) gets her moment to set the record straight. Not that any serious person (or non serious person) believes any of this nonsense.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
Adam has posted a heart wrenching letter from Jennifer Howell to Whitney.
https://twitter.com/adam_waldman
Continue to have very conflicted feelings about Whitney - she clearly is such a victim, but what's obvious is that she had good friends and support and she had JD's support whilst she was estranged from her sister.
More detail on what a quality person Rocky seems to be!

Hey All
PSA: My old twitter account has been rescued. They gave it back to me @laurabockov
The only reason I mention this, is if you are a user who searches the forumn here, any posts I've made that have included my tweets with documents (for example) should be restored. It's the only way I know how to post images here. Thank you

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
My “conflict” where Whitney is concerned hits a stone wall when I think of Johnny: his own very troubled childhood, all that he struggled and continues to struggle to overcome, the hurt and harassment mercilessly visited upon his children, friends and loved ones, the humiliation of seeing his own very hard-earned career undeniably reduced to shambles, the relentless - years-long - intense stress of witnessing his stellar professional and personal reputation being tainted the world over by horrific lies and innuendo... I’ve no doubt that everyone on this site, alone, could add to my lament.AdeleAgain wrote: ↑Thu Aug 27, 2020 2:58 am. . . .Continue to have very conflicted feelings about Whitney - she clearly is such a victim, but what's obvious is that she had good friends and support and she had JD's support whilst she was estranged from her sister....
Whitney can get her act together, tell the truth, and be grateful she is young enough to turn her life around with her husband and young child - or not. I am sick - in my gut and my heart - that Johnny is still in the throes of this life-altering battle. I have not an ounce of pity nor even a fleeting conflict of emotions for any of the perpetrating monsters. Period.
Good news, Lbock!

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
I found in Jennifer Howell's letter, her comments regarding James Franco intersting. Sincere or a veiled warning/manipulation?

"James Franco Launches Nonprofit Film Studio With Art of Elysium Charity (EXCLUSIVE)"
February 10, 2016
One of Hollywood’s enduring mysteries is how James Franco does it all — acting, directing, writing books, teaching university classes, pursuing multiple post-graduate degrees and, occasionally, (rumor has it) sleeping.
Now the multihyphenate star of “Milk” and “127 Hours” has another new venture, a nonprofit film studio that he says combines many of his passions — making films, teaching student filmmakers and benefiting his favorite charity.
Elysium Bandini Studios brings together the Art of Elysium charity with Franco’s Rabbit Bandini production banner to support the film projects of students and professionals, with any proceeds going entirely to Art of Elysium. The 19-year-old charity brings actors and other artists into contact with people in need — from hospitalized children, to the elderly and homeless to, soon, veterans and prisoners. As many as 4,000 artists work with needy clients on projects ranging from essays to poetry to plays, films and art installations.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
Justintime you've persuaded me off the fence. Of course, Johnny was abused as a child but chose a different path as an adult. Moreover regarding Whitney, seems like he was nothing but kind to her. In May 2016 she could have gone to him and told the truth - that would have changed everything and what's the betting he'd have supported her emotionally and if needed financially.
The James Franco comments in the letter are fascinating and I wonder if Jennifer Howell is just a very good, kind person who sees the best in everyone and helps whoever she can. To me she lend credibility to her statement by saying things like "there is no way Whitney would have conspired with Rocky" - from what little we know of her she seems to see the good in people - including AH. This must be all the more heartbreaking for her because of that.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
I think on one hand it's great Jennifer Howell is coming forward but on the otherhand she has known all these years the truth but never said anything until her integrity came into question. By not coming forward she was protecting the both of them while Amber lied in her papers and in depositions.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
Yes, I have that problem with it, too. But some people don't like to get involved if they are not directly asked. And I might be wrong, but I think Adam Walkman approached her after Whitney Heard's melodramatic claim of having to sleep on the floor. Or am I wrong there, and JH did come forward on her own?
Why did Whitney ar all add the bit about sleeping on the floor instead of just saying simply "At my boss' home"? Do the Heard sisters love to portrait themselves as victims of everybody?

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
I think in fairness to Jennifer Howell, her evidence is hearsay. She witnessed nothing directly and can only report on what she's been told. Therefore the only reason it has value is because Whitney appeared to lie on the stand - that's why I believe it moved fast. I think JD's team were just sitting waiting for obvious lies and then working out how they could prove them - not necessarily for the Sun case but for Virginnia. So I think it is a bit unfair to criticise Jennifer - a lot of people have hearsay evidence and they aren't witnesses because their evidence isn't really directly useful. As an example - Joe Perry's wife recently posted that JD had admitted to her once that AH was violent; there will be loads of others like her but if they didn't see anything it isn't useful.
If you think of all of JD's witnesses - they were all party to actual interactions - either witnessing violence or a lack of violence on JD's part; or they saw AH at a point when she should have been heavily injured and wasn't; or were in someway present like in Australia.
It is a weakness of AH's case that she had more hearsay evidence. Only Whitney claims to have seen actual violence - hence it has been so important to debunk her claims.
Until Whitney spoke - there was nothing to refute - unlike in the US, the witness statements aren't public until the trial.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
You are correct. Jennifer Howell can only testify to Whitney's credibility. Anything that Whitney told her about Amber would be considered hearsay.AdeleAgain wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2020 5:42 amI think in fairness to Jennifer Howell, her evidence is hearsay.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
True but not all of what Jennifer said was heresay. It was her home so she knew where Whitney slept and can testify that Whitney lied. She also has the books to prove Amber didn't give her beloved charity any money until after Jennifer complained and even then Jennifer doesn't know where the money came from.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
ForeverYoung - true but whether she slept on the floor or spare room isn't really relevant to whether domestic violence happened or who lied about what, and in any case only came to light when Whitney gave her evidence. It's possibly a dramatic exaggeration but to me, that's not the important part of the lying that's happened.
Moreover, AH never said she was giving money to Art of Elysium - and if Jennifer had complained publicly that she didn't - it would not have reflected well on her or the charity.
I am not defending the Heard sisters BTW.
The only point I was trying to make and apologies I may not have explained myself well - is that I think it is a bit harsh to criticise Jennifer for not coming forward earlier. Once Whitney was on the witness stand and Jennifer was identified by Adam as a likely useful witness - then she was brought in. It all clearly happened quite quickly.
I noticed some people have also criticised her for saying that if she had been told AH was being abused she would have acted - therefore why didn't she do something about JD when she knew - but come on - he's a huge megastar, Jennifer doesn't know him and his own friends and family didn't do anything likely because he didn't want them to.
I go back to I find her an all the more compelling witness because (1) her charity financially gained from AH's divorce's settlement, even if she may have hoped for a larger cheque (2) she says she cared about AH (3) she clearly has some positive relationship with James Franco. In other words - Jennifer is not Team Johnny. She has no reason to lie and could have told Adam Waldman she didn't know anything useful.
Like whoever handed over the tape of the reality TV show - my belief is that for most people - when they hear about or are confronted by lies from other people in public - if they know the truth they will speak up. They might fudge or ignore situations when they can but once a lie is in broad daylight - they simply have to speak. And I think that's what happened here - Jennifer knew she was being spoken about, Adam Waldman worked out who she was - subpoena arrived and rather than fighting it she just told the truth. I really hope a couple of her colleagues can also remember what was said by Whitney.
