A "go" and apparently pretty quick, too! One of those articles mentioned November...I hope so! It'll be good to get back to some filming normalcy. (and hopefully, some location filming with pictures!)Joni wrote:So glad to hear this is a "go."Thanks for the articles Theresa.

Re: CITY OF LIES (LAbyrinth) Updates
Hope Johnny doesn't feel he has to undergo a physical transformation to "become" the Russell Poole character. Would like to see him rely on his acting skills alone to breathe life into the Poole role.

Re: CITY OF LIES (LAbyrinth) Updates
Seeing Russell Poole is a real person Johnny will probably want to look like him as much a possible as he did with Hunter and Bulger and so on. But they are not that far apart in appearance, as far as I can see, so it could be kept to a minimumjustintime wrote:Hope Johnny doesn't feel he has to undergo a physical transformation to "become" the Russell Poole character. Relentless in their hunt for the truth, these two broken men threaten to crack the foundation of the L.A.P.D. all the while fighting for their own redemption. Re: CITY OF LIES (LAbyrinth) Updates
As the journalist, Whitaker is likely to have the most interaction with Johnny's character. A solid choice, these guys should make a good pair.
Whitaker also worked with Jim Jarmusch once, a movie called "Ghost Dog", which incidentally is the only other Jarmusch movie to feature an appearance by the Nobody character. He's been transported to a different time and place, but hasn't forgotten his catch phrase (stupid white man!).

Forest Whitaker and Johnny were in Platoon 30 years ago.
Maybe they can reminisce like old army buddies.
