Happy news about the 2010 Birthday Project!

:balloons:The Zone's 2010 Birthday Project to benefit Save the Children's work in Haiti has now passed the $2,000 mark! Wow--that's fantastic!

Congratulations to all who have taken part in the project so far--you can be very proud of what you are doing to help the children of Haiti.

It's a wonderful way to tell Johnny !

Many thanks to all the Zoners who have contributed to our birthday gift for Johnny. I know this is not an easy year to give--times are tough, so your generosity is especially heartwarming. And when we pool our gifts together, we can accomplish a lot of good.

If you haven't given to the Birthday Project yet . . . why not today? Help a child, make the world better, and say "Happy Birthday" to Johnny--that's a lot of good from one gift.

It's a difficult year for most of us, financially speaking, and many members have been living on reduced budgets for quite some time now. But Zoners have very big hearts. I'm so proud of the community here, and the way we band together to make the world a better place.

Every little bit will help a child in Haiti, and those small donations, pooled together, add up to much more than we could ever accomplish alone.

Even the cost of a latte or an afternoon snack could vaccinate a child against disease or put a hot meal in her stomach. When you think about it . . . the money does much more good when it's sent off to help others, and the warm feeling in your heart will last a lot longer than a latte.

Congratulations to everyone, thank you PtP for the good news. I'm impressed by the amount raised in such a short amount of time and we still have just under two weeks to increase it to so much more.

As you say it doesn't take a huge donation to make such a large difference to what can be done in Haiti, it makes you realise just how well off we are and maybe take so much for granted.
