Avatar

• Avatars must be of Johnny Depp. No avatars of Johnny photoshopped with the member’s photo will be allowed.

• Avatars can be no larger than 100 pixels wide by 150 pixels high. (100 x 150) and no bigger than 40 kb.

• Avatars must be PG-13 in both picture and text.

• Any text included on the avatar must be large enough to be easily read, and must be written in English.

Location

• Can be a real place or fantasy location.

• It cannot mention or allude to the real Johnny Depp.

• Character references are acceptable as long as they are not sexual in nature.

• Keep your location PG-13.

Signature

• Text only—no images or banners.

• Limited to 255 characters (letters and spaces)

• No more than 5 lines are allowed in a signature.

• Must be written in English.

• Must be PG-13—not profane or sexually suggestive. No censored (asterisk) words.

Account Settings—Email

• Email address changes must be made by a Zone administrator.

Avatar

All avatars must be of Johnny or one of his characters. Avatars of other actors, or your dog, or you, or your favorite painting are not acceptable. Photoshopped or composited avatars of Johnny with you are not allowed. If you are fortunate enough to have had a picture taken with Johnny, then you are allowed to have that picture as an avatar.

You can upload an acceptable avatar of your choice, but you cannot upload an avatar that is more than 100 pixels wide, and 150 pixels tall, and 40k. If you try to upload an avatar bigger than that, it will not work.

If your avatar contains text, be sure that it is PG-13 . . . suitable for all audiences. Nothing profane, nothing sexually suggestive, nothing hostile to the reader. The text must also be large enough to be easily read, and it must be in English. Avatars containing messages in too small a text to be read will be removed by the moderators. The Zone staff is responsible for all messages carried on the site, so we will only publish messages that we can actually read.

Location

Your location can be your actual place of residence or a metaphorical or fantasy location ("Somewhere over the rainbow," "in Sleepy Hollow."). Your location cannot, however, mention or allude to the real Johnny Depp. References to Johnny's characters are acceptable as long as they are not sexually explicit ("on the Black Pearl with Captain Jack" is okay; "on the Black Pearl in Captain Jack's bed" is not okay). Be sure to leave plenty to the imagination. Your location cannot be hostile to the reader or profane. Remember that your location travels with every post you make and will be seen over and over again. Like your avatar and signature, your location should be suitable for readers of all ages, from ten to eighty. Keep it PG-13.

Signature

Signatures are text only—no images (this conserves our bandwidth). Remember that there is a 255 character limit to signatures. That's 255 LETTERS AND SPACES, not 255 WORDS. Signatures which exceed the limit may be edited without notice. In addition to the 255 character limit, there is also a 5-line limit to your signature.

Your signature quote does not have to be Johnny-related, but it should be meaningful for every reader and applicable to every possible occasion. It must be in English (just as all posts on the board must be in English), and it cannot be argumentative, profane, sexually suggestive, or rude. No asterisk words, please! Nor can it address some members of the Zone while excluding others.

Account settings—Email

You cannot change your email address by yourself; the change has to be made by a Zone administrator. Contact Part-Time Poet or Theresa either by email ( natalie@johnnydepp-zone.com or theresa@johnnydepp-zone.com) or by PM; give your screen name, your current email address, and the new email address you want to use.

The reason you can't go into your profile and change your email address yourself is that this is a protection against hackers. One common way that hackers gain access to a site is by hijacking a legitimate member's account and changing the email address to their own.
