Fan Creations Guidelines

• The rules for FanArt images are the same as the rules for posting pictures. The maximum size allowed is 800 x 1000; no more than three embedded photos, wallpapers or banners on each post. You are permitted to post up to 12 avatars on a single post.

• All art must be of Johnny Depp or one (or more) of the characters he plays.

• Erotic or romantic art is okay, as long as it remains in the R-rated category. Nothing that would be categorized NC-17.

• No violent images unless you are representing a scene from one of Johnny’s movies.

• No slash art.

• All art must be YOUR art, created by you.

• Any comments included with your art are subject to all the rules that govern the other Zone forums. No “Johnny and me” stories, fantasies or dreams.

• Fan-created video montages are to be posted on the Fan Creation forum. Do not include any photos of Johnny’s children in your video.

The size rule for FanArt images is the same as the rule for posting pictures.

You cannot embed images that are more than 800 pixels in width in the Forum, or 1000 pixels in length. If your image is more than 800 pixels wide or 1000 pixels long, you can resize it, you can post a thumbnail, or you can post the URL instead. (if you post the url, please use the "LINK" button to make the url link read Click here to open link in a new window.)

Please do not embed more than 3 photos, wallpapers or banners, or any more than 12 avatars on each post. Not only do embedded pics cost us bandwidth, but they greatly slow the rate at which a page loads and opens for members on dialup modems. About half the Zone uses dialup connections, and when there are too many embedded pics on a thread, the page freezes for them or simply refuses to load.

All art must be of Johnny Depp or one (or more) of the characters he plays.

Other characters are welcome in the artwork as long as Johnny's character is included.

Erotic or romantic art is okay, but R-rated images only, please.

Nothing NC-17; that means no full-frontal nudity and no explicit sexual acts; you aren’t illustrating the Kama Sutra here. Images of foreplay and afterplay--kissing and hugging--are welcome as long as the rule about nudity is respected.

If you are publishing romantic images, and the partner with Johnny bears a striking resemblance to you-the-artist, please keep that little fact a secret from us. No “Johnny and me” titles, please! We don’t want to feel like voyeurs.

No violent images, please.

No torture, no graphic infliction of pain, no gore, no criminal assault or battery. The only exception is if you are representing a scene from one of Johnny's movies. If you want to draw Sands shooting A.J. at the end of OUATIM, or Captain Jack being stabbed by Barbossa, of course that's okay. But we don't want you to draw Raphael's demise in The Brave for us. That isn't in the movie (for a very good reason) and we don't want to see it here.

No slash art.

(A male/male or female/female romantic pair). The Zone doesn't publish slash.

All art must be YOUR art, drawn, painted, sculpted, or digitally created by you.

It is not for posting artwork, or links to artwork, that you have "found" on some other site.

We encourage you to sign your art with your screen name or your real name. You retain the copyright to any art you post on the Fan Creation forum. However, if you are worried about your image being “stolen” and appropriated by others . . . you probably shouldn’t post it here. This is the Internet, and we know that kind of borrowing goes on all the time. Post at your own risk.

Any comments you include with your art are subject to all the rules that govern the other Zone forums.

We do not allow "Johnny and me" stories, fantasies, or dreams on any Zone forum, including the Fan Creations forum.

Fan-created video montages are to be posted on the Fan Creation forum.

Do not include any photos of Johnny’s children in your video. Please pay attention to the subject matter and lyrics of any songs that you include in your montage. Inappropriate content will cause your video to be removed from the board.
