Fantastic news! Johnny Depp says "Thank you" to the Zone!

Johnny apparently does not realize how much he inspires us.

I have wondered about that, too. I'm not sure he does understand the degree to which he is the impetus for our good works. Maybe he's too modest to see that.

Many cycles that feed each other are not so nice. This one is the best and I, for one, am happy to be part of it.

Thanks Natalie, for sharing this with us.

A lot of work goes into the Birthday Project, but the rewards are sublime. We raised enough money to provide 296 birthday parties for hospitalized children--that's more than 24 celebrations a month for a whole year! That's a lot of happy people whose pleasure was made possible by Johnny Depp.

Or our donation could provide schoolbooks and supplies for 148 young patients who wanted to keep up with their studies while they were in the hospital.

Or we could provide meals for (hold on to your hat) 1,440 family members who wanted to stay in their child's room for lunch or dinner rather than leave for the cafeteria.

That's a lot of day-to-day good done in Johnny's name. A lot of comfort. And it makes me very proud of the Zone--of all of you.

Well I must be going completely barmy - I remember reading that letter and honestly thought I'd replied here, but I can't find a post from me unless I missed it! Perhaps I was just too overwhelmed at the time to do anything It's so beautiful and humble, Johnny really is just a wonderful guy with such a big heart... And that video is awesome, I'm SURE he's referring to the Zone!

Johnny's thank you was as breath takingly beautiful, as is he. I am so happy and proud to have played a small part in Johnny's Birthday project, I am almost speechless. By this, maybe he really does know how much he inspires us all.
I also want to say Thank you to Part Time Poet & the Zone for giving all of us this opportunity to help so many others, especially in Johnny's name. You are absolutely amazing yourself!

I am overwhelmed at this point.
We all contributed a little which combined, amounted to a lot of help for those in need. I appreciate Johnny taking the time to send such a gracious Thank you letter, I'm not even expressing myself very well......

I had no idea Johnny hates the word "fan"...
this is the first I am hearing this
I am just curious when/where he said that and what would he prefer

I am new to this site, so I was not able to get involved with this wonderful project. How delightful to hear from the man himself. Johnny has such a beautiful soul and that is why I love him so much. And what a sweet letter! That fact that he took time out of his busy schedule to thank all of you for the magnificent donation does not surprise me. He will always make time for those he cares about. WOW..he never ceases to amaze me!! I love you Johnny~
