Last day for the Birthday Project--we're over $5,700!

As the parent of very healthy, "normal" children, it is a privilege to be able to donate to a hospital that dedicates itself to making sick children better. What better gift to give someone, or yourself?

Thanks to all of you ladies for just being your generous, sweet selves!

And when you think of what it can do for the Child Life Fund at American Family Children's Hospital, it becomes even more beautiful.

The generosity of all the Zone members is absolutely wonderful.... I hope we can reach $6000... time to make one last contribution to help all these little ones.

I am also happy to know that the money will go toward making the child's stay a little happier. Cincinnati Children's Hospital is world renown (polio vaccine) and has so much money they can't spend it fast enough, but my son's many stays there were endlessly boring for him. I love charities that give directly to the children.

So glad I decided to participate.

Exactly! And every child deserves a birthday party, especially if they are in the hospital.

Even though it's almost over now I just wanted to say how thrilled I am to be a part of the Zone this year and able to contribute to this wonderful project. What an amazing amount of money to have been reached in such a short time. Sometimes we think that because we're only one person we can't make a difference or do anything worthwhile but this Birthday Project is proof that one person can and does make a difference. All the money that was collected was given initially by individual people and maybe those individual amounts didn't seem to be very much to the giver, but when it's all gathered together and totaled up the amount is suddenly much larger and each little individual gift of love becomes one big gift of happiness for kids who may not have much in life to be happy about if they're sick and in the hospital.

PTP and all for allowing us to join together and make a difference that most of us could never make on our own!!

I want to thank all the people from the zone who contributed to again a great children's charity. I want to thank all the admins & mods who put everything together. I think Johnny would love the hospital's motto "Helping kids being kids". He would enjoy seeing smiles on those children's faces, and maybe get a chance to read to them.

I think he would be amazed how his admirers chooses the right path, and makes unselfish acts of kindness. He would probably have tears in his eyes

Thank you, PtP and moderators for arranging this wonderful opportunity for each of us to follow Johnny's example, if even in a small way. Like Alicia said, one by one we may not be able to do much, but together we can make a difference.

OMG! I know I'm late............ but I've just donated a small amount to this WONDERFUL project!
I really really really hope you guys organising it have received it ok. I did it by Paypal. I understand yesterday 'was' listed to be the last day but.... I really hope you get it. Please let me know.
