Hopefully a lot of money will be donated for the children. I think it´s a project worth to donate for!

Anna wrote:What a great intitiative of The Zone to have a yearly birthday project to honour Johnny's birthday. It shows the site at its best i.e. as a community. Admin does a great job at organising and managing it all.

I hope, however, that it's still possible to donate anonimously. I never donate money to any cause if that implies having one's name on a list of benefactors. It's just a personal thing. With the past projects having one's name added to the message attached to the gift was optional.
:-?
Oh, it's always optional, Anna. No need to declare oneself. I just mention that for those who would wish to be included on a list of donors--if people send a check directly to the hospital, we would never know about it, since the hospital won't be keeping track of the Birthday Project. They have enough to do; tallying up is our job.

We always have some donors who wish to be private, and some who would rather write checks because they have had unhappy experiences with the Internet and credit cards, or Paypal. We are trying to accommodate everyone's preferences, so they will enjoy doing a good deed for others; that's all that really matters.

Just let us know what you want, and we are happy to oblige--it's all good.

Betty Sue wrote:Oh, WOW!!! This is the icing on the cake of the Johnny-in-Wisconsin experience!! It is so touching to me to have you select American Family Children's Hospital at the UW (my alma mater, too!) for Johnny's birthday gift!! We in Wisconsin have been so privileged already and now this! It seems like an excellent choice with the hospital's lovely treatment of children, the Michael Mann connection, and the way Johnny always looks so happy shooting (literally! :eyebrow: ) and meeting and greeting around here! Wisconsin sure loves him!! :cloud9: Thank you for such a thoughtful choice! :bouquet:
Thanks for your response, Betty Sue. The time Johnny has spent in Wisconsin has been so special and has brought so many happy memories. We wanted a way to say Thank You for making us all so welcome--not just the Zoners who traveled to Wisconsin, but all of us.

Bravo ladies, once again you have chosen a wonderfullly worthy project and one which we know would be close to his heart. This is SO what Johnny is about, I would like to think he would be honoured to be associated with this.

Thank you for such great thought and consideration and for arranging it for us to contribute in our small way.

What a wonderful idea. I spent many many many long hours at the UW Children's hospital when Evan was little, when he was first getting a diagnosis and then driving from Oshkosh every week to see various doctors for treatment/therapy when our insurance would cover it.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to give back.

This is an absolutely wonderful project, and it definitely strikes home for me. My 4 year old son has been in and out of our local hospital for a rare blood disease and asthma problems in the past year. Our hospital has a similar child life program and it definitely helped my family get through some very tough times and made my son's hospital stays a little bit easier. I will definitely be making a contribution. Thank you for this opportunity - the zoners are all angels!

Excellent ! My compliments for this idea.

We have so much to be grateful for to the people on PE filming locations. Without their hospitality, their kindness towards Johnny and their respect of his privacy I doubt if we would have seen him that much and in such a good mood.
I'm also very grateful for the personal pictures and videoclips that have been published so we all could enjoy seeing Johnny filming and greeting people.

Thank you JDZ-staff; it feels good to be able to do something in return and for a children's hospital, so close to Johnny's heart.

Being a born and raised Wisconsinite, I think this is a wonderful idea! This is also my alma mater, along with my son's, who still lives in Madison with his wife. My daughter needed the UW hospital when she was very young and they were terrific-I am proud to be able to give back in Johnny's name :applause:
