Since he is a huge Captain Jack Sparrow fan, I got one for him, one for each of his parents and one for myself. One of the reasons I came out of lurkdom on this board (having been a huge JD fan for years) was because he had been diagnosed and I was desparate for information on how to get an autographed picture for him to cheer him up. This bracelet is super cool. He'll love it! Thanks again.
I'm so sorry for your Godson, that really is a shame. It's so horrible when a child is sick, it really tugs at your heart. That would be really cool if he met
, I bet if you get it through to the Wish Foundation that could happen. (Where's Ivy? Maybe you could PM her and ask her how she got her wish through....?)
So sorry, again.

Thank you, Charlotte, for calling our attention to this worthy organization. I just ordered the silver bracelet. If it doesn't fit me, I'll just have my jeweler adjust it.
And, depprespect, sending prayers and kind thoughts for your Godson that his path may be gentler. I'm sure the bracelet will lift his spirits.
Also, Shook, prayers as well for your family members.

I'm going to be ordering that after Christmas when I have some money saved up. How perfect. Wonderful cause! As someone stated before, a good way to feed my JDOCD and help a good cause at the same time. Thanks for finding this!!

The one he's wearing is one of the large ones, and it's supposed to be 9 inches. Looks every bit of it, too!
I can't imagine them marketing an 8 1/4 bracelet to Hollywood women.

So the one Johnny is wearing is the double braided one? It's hard to tell. I'll have to get the smaller one anyways, 9 inches is way too big.

I'm pretty sure it is, but you're right - it's hard to tell. I compared the website picture with the pictures on this thread and came to that conclusion.

Theresa showed me an excellent picture that confirmed Johnny's bracelet to be the double braided one. Theresa, if you read this, maybe you could post the picture, please?

Here's a crop of the picture that AnaMaria posted. You can tell here that the silver cap at the end of the braid is an oval shape, and it appears that it is a double braid.
This is also a pretty good shot of the bracelet. The double braid shows better in this picture.

Thanks theresa!
I've just emailed Lori asking about the sizes as well, and she said the silver bracelet is 7'', the single strand leather is 7'', and they are currently OUT of the double strand leather, but the ones they have on order are 8 1/4''.

That's good. I knew they couldn't be selling an 8 1/4" women's bracelet as their only size. Look how big it is on Johnny's wrist! Thanks for the info.

I had an email from Devon at Children's Hospice who works with Lori and here's what she said about bracelet sizes....
"Hi just wanted to follow up on the bracelet sizes. The one Johnny’s wearing is 8 3/4” (we’ve actually found this to be a little big so the next batch on order now will be 8 ¼” ). The small/medium sizes are 7” . Loved the posting which said “can’t imagine them marketing 8 ¼” bracelets to Hollywood women” – she’s right that would be way too big.
Thanks for posting the accurate sizing.
All the best,
Devon"
So, now Lori and Devon are "lurking" and checking out the Zone!!!

The edge … there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over. HST

I guess that confirms for sure that Johnny is wearing the double strand bracelet. Thanks, Bluebird - and Devon and Lori!

The silver bracelet I ordered on Wednesday arrived today!! it is 7" long and it is really lovely. I can't imagine how it got to PA from CA in 2 days, but I am glad to have it. It's an privilege to wear it in honor of such a worthy cause.
OMG - I just noticed she quoted my "marketing to Hollywood women" remark!
