2012 Birthday Project Update--Our donations at work

Dear Johnny Depp Zoners, Forgotten People wanted to give you a glimpse of the people that will be getting Johnny Depp Zone water systems in the Navajo Nation: Pauline Whitesinger, Rena Babbitt Lane, Alice Z. Begay, Leonard Benally, Caroline Tohannie, Alice Tso and Rolanda Tohannie

It's almost overwhelming to see help finally arriving for these lovely people. Now it feels real! They have suffered and struggled far too long. Thank you to all those who have worked so hard to achieve this small step forward. I'm honored to have had a small part in helping this happen. I noticed that Alice Tso's name was missing from the list of those helped. Oh dear.

FAN, according to Forgotten People's last post, it looks like Alice Tso is still on the list. In fact, there are seven people there now instead of the original five. Wonderful!

Greetings! My name is Bonnie Whitesinger. My mother is Pauline Whitesinger. We are from Black Mesa, Navajo Nation, AZ. I am thankful for the water systems that my mother will benefit. She has been without running water all her life. I am thankful for the Johnny Depp water systems. Thank you for the invitation to your home, Bonnie. Unfortunately, I'm afraid that most Zoners don't live anywhere near Arizona, so we won't be able to be there in person. But we will surely be there with you all in spirit.

We are so very excited to know that your mother will be one of the sweet People who will receive a water system, thanks to our small donations and the hard work from the volunteers who will actually be installing the systems.

Bonnie, as Theresa has said we Zoners are scattered throughout the world so most of us don't live close enough to take up your invitation but I do hope that you will have some photos of the occasion that you will share

Greetings Johnny Depp Zoners,

Some of you were concerned that we forgot Alice Tso. Alice Tso is one of the people that got a Johnny Depp Zone water system to implement off - grid water systems with piped running water!

Alice lives in a 1-room house made of creosote soaked railroad ties in Grand Falls in the Navajo Nation. Here are some photos of her Home Make Over w handicap ramps.

Thank you Holten Church, Mesa Grande Academy, Jesse Rothstein, UC Berkeley Project Pueblo, and local folks for helping with Alice's home make over.

Thank you Grand Canyon Trust and USDA for her solar system. Installation is almost complete and soon Alice will be able to turn on her kitchen faucet and have lights.
