2012 Birthday Project Update--Our donations at work
Thank you all so much! Your kindness and generosity is truly amazing and inspiring to us at Project Pueblo.
As of today, we are actively working on getting the installations going for the 5 families. In fact, over the past few months some of the families have been able to acquire various parts (i.e. tanks, pipes, sinks, etc.). As a result, we might be able to stretch the $7750 to 8 families!
We have a team of 3 interns from Project Pueblo that are on the reservation right now working with the families and our NGO partner on the ground. We are hoping to buy the supplies soon and then install them periodically over the summer.
None of this could've been possibly without you members of the Zone - Thank you!!!!
Sean

Eight families is an amazing number! And I have to say that your description of the work, that some of the people scheduled to receive a system have acquired parts on their own, makes it very real for me. I can easily imagine someone hauling in a sink or getting a hold of piping. It makes what's happening so obviously a shared undertaking, a coming together of people and resources to change reality. One week there was only the land stretching away from the back of the house. Then the following week the pipes arrived. Now we have water in the house.
We managed to empower each other to give, and then our combined funds empowered you, and now you are empowering them and they are empowering others around them.
Eight families. The idea of those systems is an amazing thought to entertain.
Thank you for the news!!

We just got some photos of the water tanks that have been delivered to the NGO on the ground!
They have gotten 5 complete water systems We want to thank you all so much, from the bottom of our hearts.

Fantastic!! Thank you so much for sharing the pictures with us...we don't often get to actually see our donations at work, helping to do good for those in need.

Thank you mangodroplet for letting us know. I do visit the Project Pueblo site to see if there's any updates on the projects. It's so nice to actually see how the money is being used and knowing how much it means to the local people.
