WOW! I am so proud to be a member of the Zone and so proud that Johnny can inspire such altruism and generosity.
Thanks again to Theresa, PTP, Joni and the other mods who made this possible and who, day by day, week by week, year by year, dedicate their precious time to making the Zone such a wonderful place to be.

Thanks, Peachy (and everyone else who has commented here).
Congratulations to all of you--we did a really great job this year, for such a good cause. The generosity of the members of the Zone is really remarkable, and something of which we can be justifiably proud. We don't just squee and babble about how much we enjoy Johnny and his work--we actually do some good in the world, too.
Cheers!

Happy news indeed!
Generosity is infectious and I'm not surprised that we made our goal and then some!
The Johnny Depp Zone community have hearts of gold and each year our team effort
is reaching out far and wide with love and compassion.
Thanks to part-time poet, Theresa and all who worked to bring this year's birthday project
to fruition and a grand THANK YOU to all the Zoners who participated to help bring financial
aid to families in need. Today let's celebrate our successful birthday gift for Johnny and
our camaraderie here at JDZ and with the Navajo families.

PTP and Theresa many many thanks for making all this possible for us to be a part of this wonderful achievement and each year it amazes me how we exceed it by so much.
Well done everyone and it just goes to show how much love is here to share with those less fortunate.

We did an amazing thing, didn't we? Thank you, PTP and Theresa for all your help getting everything organized, you made it so easy for us to contribute to a very worthy cause!
From all we've heard Johnny say about his experiences with the Navajo people, I've no doubt he will be deeply honored and appreciative of our way of celebrating his birthday!
5 families! Woohoo!

Re: 2012 Birthday Project total--hold on to your hats!
I am so proud of all the Zoners...thank you so much for all the donations that were given to this year's Birthday Project. Every year, it's a struggle to find a charity that we think will be a credit to Johnny. And then comes the anxiety of hoping that the Zone will embrace and support that choice. The Zone hasn't let us down yet...thank you, thank you!
By the way, I attempted to send out thank-you emails to every person who gave. Unfortunately I had some issues with AOL and comcast, and quite a few of my thank-yous bounced back to me. So I'll say it here again...
Thank You!!

Winona...I agree. Most of us give because we believe in the cause selected and don't need public or private messages for what we do. We act in reaction to our admiration and love for the man that caused this site to be created. And so many thanks to those who work so hard to maintain it even if we do tend to stretch their patience at times.
I have nothing to do and all day to do it in.
