My heart aches for these lovely people and I am appalled that such conditions exist. Project Pueblo is so impressive for doing more than just talk! Thank you PTP and Theresa for finding this project where our donations can mean so much, can actually transform the lives of at least a few people. I am touched and proud to be part of a group which gathers together to make a difference.

Well, the story above made me go back and see if I could learn more about Black Mesa and the relocation of so many Navajo families. I bring this, a short 1985 video that is actually only part one of a longer piece. But, look at this one to understand more about why this happened, and what being 'on the land' means to people who live so very close to nature. You also get a chance to experience the amazing beauty of the place and the nightmare of unwanted development.
