Good for him to getting out to do what he loves best. :toastingpirates: The reports are that the ex is hanging out in VA waiting for the decision and prob gearing up to do another one of her pathetic speeches, whatever the outcome is. Her paid for help puppet on a string "legendary journalist" friend who got kicked out of the courtroom seems to have no real job except to trash JD for having a life while the jury is in deliberation. :smh:  :dunce:

Thanks so very much, SnoopyDances and In-too-Depp, for the lovely “Photograph/Video Surprise”. :bouquet: My first reaction was happy tears - Johnny looked so relaxed: singing, playing his guitar, and doing his little “hop-dance” across the stage! Almost seemed like old times …

Love him to pieces! Hoping and praying, with all the energy I can muster, he receives the solid good news he deserves ASAP. :heart2:

Johnny Depp performs second night in UK as Amber Heard verdict looms

BBC website
31st May 2022

Hollywood star Johnny Depp has made an unscheduled appearance at a rock concert in London as he awaits the verdict in the defamation trial involving his ex-wife Amber Heard.

The actor appeared with British guitarist Jeff Beck at the Royal Albert Hall.

This is the pair's second appearance, after playing Sheffield on Sunday.

Jury deliberations in Mr Depp's high-profile battle with Ms Heard are due to resume later on Tuesday.

Mr Depp, 58, sued his ex-wife for $50m (£40m) for an article she wrote in which she claims to be an abuse victim. Ms Heard, 36, counter-sued for $100m.

The jury of seven must come to an unanimous decision for a verdict.

They began their deliberations on Friday, shortly after both sides delivered their closing arguments, but then adjourned until after Monday's US Memorial Day holiday.
'I'll die happy'

Mr Depp and Jeff Beck among other things performed the John Lennon song Isolation, which they collaborated on in 2020.

The performance provoked a mixed reaction from concert-goers.

Angela Flannery, 38, from Southend told PA news agency that Mr Depp had "smashed it", adding that she had no idea he would be playing.

"I'll die happy, I've been in the same room as him now," she said.

But Peter Schmidt, who came to London from Frankfurt specially for the concert, said he felt "duped" and described Mr Depp as an "embarrassment".

"I had been waiting 50 years to see Jeff Beck live... this was the biggest let-down of my life," he said, quoted by Reuters.

Mr Depp is expected to perform again at the London venue on Tuesday, but the verdict could come any time.

On Friday in summing up Mr Depp's case, his lawyer asked jurors to "hold Ms Heard accountable for her 'lies'".

Ms Heard's team, however, described Mr Depp as a bully and abuser, not to be trusted.

Benjamin Rottenborn, a lawyer for Ms Heard, reminded jurors of explicit text messages between Mr Depp and his friends, telling them he wanted to visit harm upon his ex-wife.

"This is a window into the heart and mind of America's favourite pirate," Mr Rottenborn said. "This is the real Johnny Depp."

Mr Depp's lawyer Camille Vasquez, in contrast, called Ms Heard's allegations of abuse "wild, over the top and implausible".

Friday's arguments echoed much of the past six weeks of trial, where both sides presented warring accounts of the former couple's five-year relationship.

The celebrity case - broadcast live every day - garnered intense public interest as both actors lobbed serious accusations of emotional, physical and verbal abuse at the other.

I read that the audience at Albert Hall gave him a standing ovation --- as they should!!! :flashingheart:

The fact that so many millions of people are standing up for him, whether on Instagram or in a concert hall, indicates that all of us are united behind him. Just hope the jury members get it.

EXCLUSIVE: Beck together again! Johnny Depp parties backstage with ex-girlfriend Kate Moss after performing with Jeff Beck in London - and days after she told US court he DIDN'T push her down stairs

Article by Henry Martin for MailOnline
1st June 2022

Johnny Depp partied backstage with supermodel ex-girlfriend Kate Moss following his cameo performance with Jeff Beck at the Royal Albert Hall tonight - days after she testified for the movie star in court.

The British supermodel, 48, last week gave evidence in Depp's defamation trial against another of his exes, Amber Heard, rejecting claims she had ever been assaulted by the Pirates of the Caribbean actor during their high-profile four-year relationship in the 1990s.

And Ms Moss this evening again publicly showed her support for her former flame - with whom she remains on good terms - by heading to London's prestigious Royal Albert Hall Venue to watch him perform covers of John Lennon, Marvin Gaye and Jimi Hendrix alongside Beck, 77.

The fashion icon was joined inside by former TV personality Sharon Osborne, 69, who arrived for an after-party following the end of the concert.

Ms Moss - who last week gave evidence to the US court via video link - arrived at the venue early at around 8pm, 90 minutes before Depp was due onstage, clambering out of a blue Mercedes and being escorted by security into the stage door entrance.

After Beck's set began at 8.40pm, Depp headed onstage at 9.23pm to perform several songs with a British music legend considered among the greatest guitar players in history.

Introducing the 58-year-old - who he told the 5,000-strong crowd had 'been through some s**t - he said: 'I met this bloke in Japan. He knocked on the door and we burst out laughing straight away. You may recognise him. He's been through some s**t.'

To calls from fans of 'Johnny' and 'We love you Johnny', Depp took to the stage wearing a waistcoat, white and red checked short-sleeve shirt, patterned cravat, and Peaky Blinders style cap, and immediately grabbed the mic.

Johnny Depp seemed to injure his finger as a guitar was taken away from him. He could be seen moving his hand up and down. However, this did not stop him coming back onto stage and carrying on the show

The actor and Beck played seven songs including Jimi Hendrix's Little Wing, John Lennon's Isolation, and Marvin Gaye's What's Going On before departing the stage at 9.50pm, blowing kisses to the audience.

Fans of Deep speculated on Twitter about why Moss had gone to see her ex perform.

One, Karen Hancock, said: 'Could this be why he came to London? The best thing she ever done was to mention Kate Moss in the trial, it brought her back into his life.'

After the show a 100-strong crowd gathered outside a back entrance hoping to catch a glimpse of Depp.

Discussing the gig, Nadia Tiholova, 45, from Romford, who came just to see her acting hero, said: 'I think he was outstanding. I have seen all his movies but I never expected him to be such a good musician. And thanks to him I discovered Jeff Beck!'

Neil Clarke from Romford paid his money to see Beck perform and was disappointed at Depp's appearance.

He said: 'I wouldn't have minded if he did a song or two but it felt a bit like it turned into the Johnny Depp show.

'The Marvin Gaye song is a masterpiece by a man with an incredible voice and he butchered it!

'It's a beautiful song about American Black civil rights movement and it seemed a bit odd to have a Hollywood millionaire singing it.'

This was Depp's third show in a row alongside Beck, and second consecutive night at the Royal Albert Hall, amid his ongoing legal battle.

He had earlier performed with with Beck at Sheffield City Hall on Sunday.

The night before he had left the Royal Albert Hall at 1am holding a pot labeled 'Purple Unicorn' - a rare strain of marijuana has same name.

The Pirates Of The Caribbean actor is suing his former partner over a 2018 article she wrote in the Washington Post, which was titled: 'I spoke up against sexual violence - and faced our culture's wrath. That has to change.'

Last Wednesday Ms Moss testified by video for just three minutes in the US-based Johnny Depp-Amber Heard defamation trial.

She refuted a rumour Depp had pushed her down a flight of steps when the pair were a famous 'it' couple during the 1990s.

The 48-year-old, speaking on a video link from her English home in Gloucestershire, told the Virginia court that she and Depp had been in a romantic relationship for four years between 1994 and 1998.

When Depp's attorney Benjamin Chew asked Moss if anything had happened while they were on holiday at the GoldenEye resort in Jamaica, she said: 'We were leaving the room, and Johnny left the room before I did, and there had been a rainstorm. As I left the room, I slid down the stairs and I hurt my back.

'I screamed because I didn't know what had happened to me and I was in pain. He came running back to help me and carried me to my room and got me medical attention.'

Moss - who was called by Depp's legal team - rejected claims Depp had ever attacked her.

'He never pushed me, kicked me or threw me down any stairs, no,' Moss told the court.

Heard's attorneys declined to cross-examine Moss, and she was told she was free to go.

In response Ms Heard, 36, returned to the stand the following day where she was questioned by Depp's lawyer Camille Vasquez, who asked during cross-examination: 'You didn't expect Ms Moss to testify that that never happened, did you? '

'Incorrect,' she responded. 'I know how many people will come out of the woodwork to be in support of Johnny. It is clear by this courtroom how many people will do that.'

On Monday night Johnny Depp left the Royal Albert Hall in London holding a pot labeled 'Purple Unicorn' after performing there with guitarist Jeff Beck amid his ongoing legal battle with his ex-wife Amber Heard.

Depp, 58, received a standing ovation from the audience at the venue, with British singer Tom Jones among those who watched the performance.

Depp was seen leaving the Royal Albert Hall next to Beck just after 1am, with the actor clutching a bag containing a jar tagged 'Purple Unicorn'.

Meanwhile, Jones was seen leaving the venue just before 1am, hours after the performance had finished, and climbing into a car.

Depp was pictured walking up the steps to the 100 Queen's Gate Hotel London, where suites cost up to £2,390 a night. It is not clear whether Depp is staying there during his visit to London.

His appearance comes as the jurors deliberating the duelling defamation claims from Depp and Heard are set to resume their deliberations today after failing to reach a resolution in the widely watched six-week trial on Friday.

The seven-person jury deliberated for about two hours Friday before adjourning for the U.S. Memorial Day holiday weekend.

I was at Montreux last night and it was epic!

We went with a group of friends - spent the day listening to the album and look a ferry to the show.

Van Morrison was the support - also fantastic.

Jeff Beck came out first and did about half and hour to 40 minutes. I don't know his music that well but it was stunning; his band is awesome - whoever the woman is on the bass - she is incredible.

Then they went into Rumble and everyone went mad - as it was obvious Johnny was coming out - and there he was. New hat! Looks so different. I saw him on the 2018 Hollywood Vampires tour. Of course you cannot tell what people are going through but looking back on that - his eyes were so soulful but sad. Now they are soulful and gleaming. He just seemed so comfortable.

So I am going to confess that when I was having dinner with my friends beforehand I questioned how his vocals would be live - having listened to the album - his vocals are v strong on that, but that's studio.

I needn't have doubted. Amazing. The few times he spoke - he mumbled and not a person in the auditorium heard a word he said - but he sang every word with such clarity, sang out - it was fantastic. Interestingly after Rumble they did H Lamar and Isolation - which I assumed they'd end with. They didn't do the whole album - I don't love all of it - but they picked ones that really worked live. Death and Resurrection was the absolute stand out. It was a real performance. Venus in Furs also fantastic - and Time just works so well live. Listen to that and it's hard not to believe that he's found someone else (I hope so if she's nice).

He did the usual before leaving the stage - lots of pointing appreciatively to Jeff and the band. Lots of trying to look at and connect with everyone in the audience. But best of all he left looking happy, rather than in 2018 where his appreciation of was mirred in sadness. I think we all felt no less appreciated, just he has a lightness to him that is wonderful to see. Maybe he feels less apologetic and like he needs to explain himself everytime he participates in an event? We've all had the truth displayed before us and made up our minds - whichever way that is.

And hilariously amid the numerous screams of his name there were several shouts of 'megapints', which seemed to make him laugh.

I sadly did not manage to go to one of their concerts but I heard from people who were there that some songs (like Venus in Furs) seem to be half playback...

I think it is just really difficult stuff to perform fully without any sort of playback nevertheless I was surprised to hear about it...

Maybe a problem of where they were standing - I recently saw Guns n Rosses and the playback was so bad I was close to leaving - was able to move a few rows and it was a totally different experience.

Anyway last night the sound was perfect for us!
