To Justintime & Gypsyblues: :airkiss:
No matter what happens tomorrow, we stand with our gentleman. May I suggest that we figure out a celebration strategy for our gentleman, who will be turning 58 this year? He definitely is aging like a fine wine. Yes? We need to figure a way to celebrate positively, (however it goes tomorrow). This has to be hard on him. (He is so protective of his children. - Good dads are like that.) This will serve two purposes: 1) shows our support; 2) keep our minds occupied in a positive upbeat manner. (Pep rally so to speak). This hopefully will give him strength to continue his adventure to VA. ( I think he woud appreciate the company.) Agreed? :bigwave: :bigwave: :grouphug:

Thanks for the insight Granna. During the original trial, I had thought the judge had AH's number - a couple of times he hurried on TeamDepp with "I think we get the idea". I interpreted this as meaning, "I know she is lying, lets move on", but he actually meant "Stop calling AH a liar and move to the next subject".

I am also disturbed that the Australian press has had a featured article on Jenn Robinson for the last two weeks (Sydney Morning Herald on 4th March, and the Australian Story last week). I do not think these media pieces are random, it is like we are being softened up for the blow. I guess the publicity works both ways for them, so I'm probably reading too much into it.

Logically, and especially considering the issues raised around the original trial, I think the UK bench would benefit from allowing the appeal, setting the date for after the VA trial and let that complete before the UK proceeds. The issue would probably be settled in VA, not the UK. But who knows?

Fingers crossed.

InquiringMinds: Agreed on your assessment of the situation of Justice Nicol in his dealings with the UK trial. Yes he had AH's number, but not in the way we thought. As far as Jenn Robinson and the pieces that have been written in Australia, we all know that Jenn Robinson is in bed with a AH, take that anyway you want. You're right that publicity will work either way for the media. I really don't think that the UK trial will start before the VA trial, however, I don't think it's really going to matter. When JD wins the VA judgment I am sure that Team Heard will move Heaven and Earth to quash it somehow or other in the UK. If by chance the UK was to start first and JD win that case, then it would be smooth sailing all the way in the Virginia case for JD. I am with You, fingers crossed.

I don't post much on this particular thread, but I read avidly. Yes, the idea of a celebration no matter what the decision is. Frankly I don't care about the legal stuff. I have always valued this man and will always stand behind him. I believe he has a lot to offer artistically, but more than that, it's always been his completely humanity, his kindness. How could I not stand up for him? He will survive the legal show and go on to explore his art in many fields hopefully for years to come -- I do wish the guy would write more!

So any kind of celebration, please include all of us.

I am so sorry everyone - it is a no. The appeal has failed. Unbelievable, I am appalled.

Surreal but we knew how difficult it would be to obtain. All eyes on Virginia, where true justice will prevail.

IT's a shame !!!
Yes, I am disappointed with the UK judiciary and especially with these judges who have not done justice. It is a shame on the UK judiciary and its representatives.
Keep your head up, look ahead and as I said, I'm a loyal fan like many here and by his side. :namaste:

It just absolutely underlines the point that the law, truth and common sense are not related.

I just cannot fathom the logic.

The issue of whether or not they should have raised the charity donation in the trial: we know she would have lied or rather obscured with some word salad. And we also know that it would not have made any impact on the judge.

I think simply that he did not like a rich man who took drugs.

I fear that unless something else bad comes out about her - WB can't sack her for A2 even if they do cut down her part. I now wonder if the whole reason she hasn't put JL on her instagram is simply because she was told to keep a low profile.

Still unanswered questions: why has she left LA? Why has Robbie Kaplan deleted all mention of her?

I have total faith in Virginia. Some are saying that UK judges tend to stick together, so I guess it didn't really matter what was brought to the light, there wasn't really a shot there.

Two small beacons of light (which in a way only makes the overall judgement so much more sickening):

1. CoA says she did mislead the court
2. CoA says likely that she was violent to him.

Not sure if those are useful in Virginia.

I would have thought a judgement saying she misled a court in UK along with the Australia perjury should help.

But it's her so she'll get out of it. How many times is she going to say in VA that she has been completely vindicated on her allegations twice in a British court (as she said she was vindicated over her domestic abuse arrest).

A year is a long time. Maybe other victims of AH will come forward or more people like Jennifer Howell who hear something they have knowledge of and just cannot sit by and do nothing. There must be more people who have evidence against her.

I guess it didn't matter to the UK courts that she committed perjury and therefore not a credible witness but at least she is exposed with proof now.
