I feel like Johnny has been vindicated. There would have been no settlement if there was not wrong doing. I hope he got a sizable amount although I don't think he can ever receive enough to compensate for what he has been through.

I agree with you, nebraska, ten-fold. Johnny has suffered a great deal, without relief, for a very long time. It has taken a toll and - you are so right - there is no deal, now, that can turn back the clock for him or truly make him whole.

BUT, those crooks have been left trying to spin a scenario for their media friends and whatever clueless clientele they have left that declares they are, in fact, ”pleased” (!) with a settlement that by virtue of its terms alone proves they are a pack of thieving jackals! That must go a long, long way.

I wonder if Johnny has taken a deep breath yet and, maybe, even allowed himself a great big smile? I admire him so much . . .

The thing about this lawsuit is that for TMG there was no win. Even if they had gone to court and not had to pay anything - which given the points of law which they had violated or mis-advised on (as admitted even in that biased Rolling Stone article) was never going to happen - who would trust them now? If you are a potential client, irrespective of what happened at the end of the case - would you trust people who told stories about you to the press? Who put salacious, unnecessary detail into their documents, just to trash someone and make them settle?

So at the end of this - yes Johnny has been personally hurt and there is a lot of private stuff out there about him. But he still has many, many loyal fans, and the ability to continue doing the work that he does.

What about TMG? Who wants to be their client now?

This could get nasty. I would love to see Johnny publicly vindicated. The haters will never believe, but he deserves some sort of legal protection to prevent further damage to his career. I just wish he had never got tangled up with that woman!

She will always try to play the victim and gets money out of it. That accusation will come up with every film he is making. It is his only chance with the NDA to fight back and clear his name. And for a victim it might be important to fight back one day.

With all our hearts we wish that Johnny gets justice and that he can finally look positively into the future again. Personally, I wish the American court to punish her for everything she did to Johnny. Please protect Johnny and give him a lot of energy.

But how will he prove, that AH hit him, if they were alone at the time?
And is he at all allowed to talk about what happened in the marriage after the divorce settlement? I thought, there was a sort of gag order ...
As for Heard's defense:

“These allegations are totally false. One needs only read the recent Rolling Stone article about Mr Depp and the lawsuit filed against him by a location manager, among many other recent news stories and lawsuits, to understand his state of mind.”

... an article is not proper evidence in a court of law, I think. And the location manager's allegations haven't been proved yet, so how should that tell us how Johnny felt and acted at home with his wife?

Her side is trying everything and she posts pics with a puppy to get sympathy. But I suppose it is not Johnny speaking about that punching, but it will be in old legal papers unseald for the Sun lawsuit and it will be leaked.
