At the end of the day, Elaine is just a nonsensical clown and Johnny's witnesses are faring really well.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
I am having ambivalent feelings about the ongoing of the trial so far, its so difficult, complex and surprisingly grey!
The marriage counsellor and the nurse saw a bruise on AH, Jerry Judge saw cuts in Australia (caught on tape recording). I agree none of them saw actual violence, but the "aftermath". Johnnys witnesses support AHs narrative, this is not convincing!
Kate James and Sean Bett came across biased, I don't understand the benefit of James' testimony at all. The same applies to Gina. To debunk AHs claims ("DV-case") the police officers, Travis, Tara and Samantha are the most important witnesses now. Followed by testimony about the actual defamation case.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
Watching Johnny on the stand is heartbreaking. I knew he had a tough time as a kid, but my God hearing the violence all 4 of the kids went through is wrenching. The dad too. No wonder Johnny leaves when arguments begin! Very typical of kids. AH must have been a nightmare once she started. Bring up all the pain he suffered. People many times believe that children repeat the parental behavior they were subject to. Not so. I know from my own family. The abuse was never directed to me as my dad stopped drinking and turned his life around when I was born. My sister got most of it. I have watched her raise 3 great kids No anger, no raised voices, no hitting ever!!!!! Johnny spoke so much like my sister. Spanking, yelling never acheive good results. You have to talk to your kids. Honestly, I broke down when he explained how he acts towards his own kids when they were little
Sorry for the long text, but I have always believed Johnny to be a loving person. I feel awful that has to expose so much, to fight his cause. I wish he never met AH.
Prayers and love for JD and his family!!!

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
Try not to worry. Just like the ex's lawyer is trying to say she wore make up to cover the alleged injuries also means she can use make up to create fake bruises and the testimony shows she never got treatment for any of the alleged injuries or reported them to police. Jerry Judge said he saw cuts but he also said he thought they were self inflicted. My guess is that he saw old scars and it's really hard to believe if Dr. Kipper and Debbie Loyd were there and saw cuts they wouldn't have treated her for the wounds.Someareborn wrote: ↑Tue Apr 19, 2022 7:13 pmI am having ambivalent feelings about the ongoing of the trial so far, its so difficult, complex and surprisingly grey!

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
It's all absolutely damning to Heard. How many times also have we heard: no bruises on her, nothing, with several medical examinations by professionals ! I thank her really for being such an incompetent con artist that she couldn't have consistent made up bruises to show people. And just wait until her "witnesses" testify, 99% of whatever they will say or make up will be considered hearsay. Ben, Camille and co are going to have a field day right there lol.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
The first three days she showed up in three piece suits, then after people live streaming noticed she was copying JD, she changed to dresses/skirts. THEN she went and put more blonde in her hair and yesterday she showed up in a pony tail. What's next, tattoos on her hands?
Yesterday she sat there stone faced while she was busy writing her post it notes and casually passing them to the lawyer next to her and ones behind her.
Another one of her flying monkeys got kicked out of the courtroom yesterday. Not sure why, but from what I heard was that she brought her cell phone to security to try and get another of JD's supporters kicked out but she was the one who got kicked out.
I guess these people either never got the memo about cell phones or were told to do whatever they want and it would be ok.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
It's become huge! Even in my country Belgium (Europe), the news-sites are distributing it live. In the reactions it's clear that almost everyone (Belgium and Netherlands) stand behind Johnny Depp. I so much hope he wins and that we have our old Johnny, from before the whole thing, back.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
Thank you for helping me focus on the good. I am in a better mood today, JDs testimony was very good. He often includes minor points in his answers which paint a broader picture. The new recordings were again, heartbraking to hear.ForeverYoung wrote: ↑Tue Apr 19, 2022 11:03 pm

I saw him close his eyes and sigh. These recordings are zombies, they catapult you right back into the horror.
Lawyers strategy:
They focused on how he experienced violence by her - which is sadly not crucial to his defamation case. Thats maybe why there were almost no objections by her team. But I welcome this approach of his team not overwhelming the jury with details without context (Smeg fridge, dog smuggeling, Samanthas pay check...) I hope they bring the details when needed in cross examination.
Cracks:
Didn't Sean testify AH gave JD a warm welcome on her birthday? JD testified it was cold.
His team did not bring up the ACLU mails altough they underline his claim. Would it have been hearsay? Why didn't they do it?
His lawyer did not press JD on what he has lost because of the op-Ed. Is it better to answer vague or specific?
Tomorrow is going to be tough.
At least JD has friendly faces opposite him, AH has to go through this alone in that room. She looked unhappy and sad to me.
