There are all these rumors popping up (and not from We Got This Covered) that she who shall not be named WANTS to play Sue Storm in the inevitable Fantastic Four MCU film, WANTS to have her Mera-Wonder Woman spin off, and now some other one saying she wants to be in the new Pirates film. Unbelievable. On one hand, this all sounds so ludicrous that I call nonsense on this but she's so delusional that it might very well be true. It's going to be enjoyable to see studios steer clear of her and politely decline.

In the meantime:

I love how they're proudly touting Johnny here. The same company that is behind Waiting For The Barbarians, looks like Johnny can always count on them. I think whoever wants Johnny in their film right now would be very smart to make an announcement soon. I hope Burton will cast him as Gomez in his Addams Family TV series, that would be major.

Thanks so much for these thoughts today I broadly agree with all of them.

I have no doubt whatsoever that AH WANTS to be in all those things: small problem, ultimately Hollywood is all about making money. And it is really clear that she has no serious fan base. Her Instagram following doesn't stand up to scrutiny, those are largely paid-for. The trial and the verdict should have seen a wave of support and sympathy for her from the public. Nothing. Part of me thinks WB is waiting for the verdict to die down and the next big shock like her lack of charitable donations - and then pull the plug. Or they may just say nothing and she just doesn't film, letting her put whatever spin on it she likes.

He on the other hand may be getting a battering from the press but as I keep saying, not from the people. Very, very, very few negative comments.

The UK isn't hating on him, just our dreadful press which honestly becomes less influential but he day. They effectively talk to each other, and older, die hard readers.

His instinct is to fight for the truth. I just think he will spend every last dollar and emotional energy on the truth. In a weird way - 2 years for the appeal may yet play in his favour. A couple more big pieces of evidence against her and that verdict will look even more dodgy than it presently does. I have mentioned before the case of Jeffrey Archer who years after he won a libel case, was imprisoned for libel. By the time that happened - his reputation was in tatters so the fact he had committed libel was (a) no shock (b) led to a momentum which resulted in his prosecution.

His place is in Indie films, and the film industry is changing - he has talent and fans and streaming services are where it is going. This is hard right now but ultimately I believe he will be ok. I wouldn't be shocked to see him sell up in Hollywood - has he even been there this year? Other than his studio (which he could set up elsewhere) I wonder if he has even missed it. His family have a firm French footprint.

And lastly - do not write off Pirates. Post VA, if they want that film to be a success they stand a much better chance with Johnny in it, to transition to whatever the story arc is going to be.

Lbock makes a good point about how quiet everyone has been. I agree yesterday's decision by the judge was an expected non-event on balance.

Keep streaming (my dog is watching Pirates 4), keep listening, keep the faith!

Happy Thanksgiving.

I really don't think LA is Johnny's home base anymore. He has not been seen around LA for some time now, except to record in his studio in his compound. He seems to spend most of his time in London and France now, with occasional visits to the Bahamas. All this is good because it keeps the press out of his business. I don't know about Jack but Lily Rose said in a recent interview that she lives in NY now but has not been back since the covid virus and is staying in Paris. Sherborne stayed with Johnny on his estate in France for a while before the trial.

AH may want a lot of things but by no means does it mean she will get them. Her PR is probably putting things out there because she is getting blasted in the comments for a lot of the articles that are comiing up about JD. I really hope we never see her working anywhere again, not even in a barn.

Someareborn - I have also been wondering about Brian who has said on a number of occasions that he is working on new videos - but I don't think it is iO that has stopped him putting them out - I think is was AH's nonsense counter suit which cited Brian and claims he was working for JD, with no more evidence than the fact Johnny followed Brian on instagram.
Yes, I meant the combination of iO threatening Brian first and then AH putting his name in her counter suit really put the final nail in the coffin for Brian - sadly. But his contribution to the public opinion concerning the case is massive.

I watched lostbeyondplutos last video where she talks about a similar libel case in the UK undergoing the appeal process, very interesting. I decided to have faith in Schilings abilities to get the permission for the appeal, even if it is an uphill battle.

I am more interested in Johnny making Indie films, because I don't like the development of Hollywood-cinema nowadays, its prequels, sequels, comicbook-superhero -franchises.
Johnny Depp is way too good for stuff like that. Couldn't care less about AH, but I want her stop lying and being called out officially to stay inside her :censored: fence.

Strange, things still very quiet from Johnny's side. UK tabloids are just raking him over the appeal and possible future appeal and how he is a wife-beater and continuing to abuse his ex wife with these court ordeals ruining her reputation. It's disgusting and I do nope the UK citizens get tired of it and stop reading it. This article disgusts me: https://www.theguardian.com/film/2020/n ... SApp_Other

As fas as where Johnny could live full time - he is a USA citizen and resident and that affects his taxes. He has always said he couldn't live full time in France because they would kill him in taxes. Also, he would not renounce his citizenship in USA. And it's not that easy to just become a citizen of another country anyway. Same goes for UK and Bahamas too, I expect.

He hasn't been to LA for about a year and back then was associated with HV west coast tour. Jack seems to be living with his mom, although she still has a house in LA that he stayed in (as far as I know that hasn't been sold, I think it would hit the news).

Lily-Rose has also been staying with her mom, but (yes) did say she maintains an apartment in NYC.

From recent IG posts, Lily-Rose, Jack & His Girlfriend Camille, and several other friends were at the French Estate for all of November (it seems). A latest post of Lily-Rose suggests they are back in Paris. (I kinda feel weird knowing and repeating this, but they are adults now).

Based on the past 2 years, Johnny will hopefully be able to spend Christmas in Paris and see Vanessa and the Kids...one big happy blended family.

Don't feel bad Lbock I also rake over things to try and guess where they all are. I love that the kids stayed at their childhood home and still have that connection. Also hoping that Johnny is in Paris with them again this year.

I just think you have to not read the UK press anymore. The Guardian used to actually stand for something but now even there the journalists take money to write things. I am being serious. Something like 60 percent of the content of UK newspapers has been placed there by PR/other interested companies. That 60 percent is basically the comment and so-called reflective pieces.

Used to be that Guardian journalists would deliberately look behind whatever the thrust of a narrative. The idea that the Guardian would swallow what a Murdoch rag would say would have been unthinkable. But not anymore - and they seriously wonder why they are losing money.

Lbock I went and read the Guardian article.

On the one hand - at least they had some facts in it ie that sales have increased along with social media searches and support for JD.

But any decent journalist might ask themselves why this has happened - but that would of course force the numpty who wrote it to admit that there is a lot more to the story. And that the real scandal is L'Oreal's continued support of AH.

Thank goodness is it real people and not journalists who buy cosmetics and see movies.

I so hope Dior sticks to their guns - rare that business and moral sense coincide but on this occasion they do.

Ok now I am feeling excited, which is jolly good as we are going into the weekend.

This thread from Gre3f sort of explains it, but I have been grappling with why my lawyer friends are so upset about the way Nicol dismissed AH's words on tapes - because when I have said "oh yes because she was clearly the abusive one" - they kept saying, no that's not the point. And I couldn't understand where they were landing.

This might explain it better than I am going to.

By dismissing the tapes, Nicol has apparently set a precedent in UK lawyer. There is not already a law or a precedent which allows for this. A witness can now cite this precedent and contradict any recorded evidence. (Note this applies to a witness not a defendant.)

If this goes unchallenged, this is UK law.

Now I am not sure why on earth it should fall on poor Johnny's pocket book to right the wrongs of UK law - but this is likely the core of the legal challenge ie that the judge has misinterpreted the law or rather made it up, and logic would surely lead you to believe that this cannot be right.

Criminals may as well go around tape recording admissions to their various crimes and then citing this precedent when in court.

Don't expect too much from the Guardian, they practically said the public must believe Amber because she's a woman. I used to have a lot of respect for them, but not nowadays.

Change of subject but looks to me like Iervolino Entertainment who made Waiting For The Barbarians with Johnny and has been promoting him as playing this Puffin on this animated kids series called Puffins (now available) is guilty of false advertising.

No one speaks in the series and there’s no Johnny to be found. Baffling.

Today I went through articles that pops up on my phone, the Polish ones, and one was about Dior keeping Johnny in their campaign. The author wrote that Johnny is a proven abuser and Dior is keeping him because of the money, they don't care about his "bad reputation" as long as the product sales. Media in Poland are really biased, they ignore all the evidences against Heard and keeps repeating that Johnny lost a case against her, not The Sun. I'm not sure if you know, but right now Polish women are protesting againts goverment after The Constitutional Tribunal agreed on tighten the abortion law and after Johnny got an award on Energa CamerImage the media started to claim that it was a spit on the women's faces - "lets award an abuser to show that we don't care about women's rights in Poland". I'm getting sick of this and I feel like the press is trying to destroys him. Sorry for eventual mistakes, but I'm very emotional right now.

Justme I am so sorry - you sound very hurt by this and I think we can all identify with it. There is a wonderful twitter account run by someone who seems to work in Hollywood and I was very struck by a message she put up saying, what kills her about all of this is that so many of the very famous Hollywood actors are well known for their abusive behaviour - but that everyone in Hollywood knows Johnny is not and never has been like that. So why the press must hound him when there are actual abusers to expose is just staggering.

I don't know if this will help and I am not sure which countries this is taken from, but I have seen lot of surveys like this - mainly in the context of the UK elections last year, and the US ones.

Brooke put up the survey noting that millenials are the generation which most trusts the media to tell the truth - and whilst he is right - look at the figures. Even amongst the millenials - 65% do not trust the press. For the next generation down - Generation Z - 75% don't trust the media to tell the truth.

So please keep those numbers in mind when you see the support for Johnny on social media - ie direct comments and sourcing.

Usually I don't care about such a things, because I know how the show-business works - first they put someone on the pedestal and then pushed them off, but I think it's unfair that such a good man is treaded like a trash.

At least the MSM are reporting the Aquaman petition. I confess, I clicked - I had to read the comments - absolutely hilarious - most consistent comment "where do I sign".

My take on the judge's decision for not considering the tapes was because technically the case was against The Sun and not AH. Sure, Johnny wanted to prove she was the abuser and not him but the tapes did not help his argument about The Sun writing the deformation article. I really wish he would have filed a cross TRO against her when this all started. He stayed quiet for way too long, imo, when she was out there doing her interviews, videos, rallys, "notes to her sisters" and other things but I get why he preferred to take a different route.

That being said, I think Johnny didn't have a chance right from the beginning, now knowing the crooked connections between the judge and everyone else involved with the defense. Also, I was annoyed the the judge used Johnny's dependencies as a reason for not remembering events so the judge gave himself reason to believe her when she had no proof.

I do reall there was a private session about Hicksville and she wanted to throw in an allegation that Nicole did not accept. At least he did something right.
