The DM are pretty right wing, like the Sun, so I'm not surprised they are on husband beater's side. Robinson however, turned my stomach when she went on and on about husband beater's 'courage'.ForeverYoung wrote: ↑Sun Nov 15, 2020 12:58 amLooks like Jennifer Robinson will be representing the ex in the VA case. Re: The Lawsuits Thread
Jennifer Robinson strikes me as one of those women who are always saying you have to support women, whilst shagging married men! She was caught out doing that right? Yeah - very supportive of other women and reminds me of someone.
Did you all see this from Dan Fogler?
Come on, I think this is a man who has tried to educate himself. Johnny would love reading this, especially the Gonzo reference.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
We all feel so powerless against a bad verdict being delivered in the UK, especially when so few of us live there.
There is also talk that UK courts don't like "tourist" lawsuits - despite the non-UK parties being defamed in the UK by a UK publication.
But other countries can have a say, and we can influence our governments. As an Australian I am outraged that a UK judge doesn't think perjury in Australia is anything of consequence. Lying to an Australian government is, apparently, OK (after all, we are just colonial scum and (as we know from The Princess Bride"), we are all convicts). Suborning another 2 to perjure themselves to support Amber's perjury - no worries, mate!!
Then the verdict itself - it didn't just say Amber was an honest, trustworthy witness. Nicols had to throw out expert witness testimony, physical evidence (photos and videos) and the sworn statements of DV trained police officers.
Clearly no Australian man can expect a fair trial in the UK. And whilst the courts may favour women, no Australian woman could expect to receive a fair trial either. As long as this flawed verdict is allowed to stand, irrespective of any pending appeal, Australia should cease any extraditions to the UK. Immediately.
Do you live in the USA (especially CA)? A member of the LAPD? Then the same applies to you. In fact, this applies to anyone living outside the UK. Write to politicians, point out the problem and demand they cease extraditions to the UK!

A writer for The Guardian who loves to trash JD is friends with Jennifer Robinson. Surprised???

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
Was it ever disclosed where the "secret location" was that Amber quarantined in prior to the trial?
Where was it? Was it a rented property or was she guest of anyone? Did Julius meet Amber during summer at the mid-trial dinner party or was it during some weekend away in the countryside with all the friends and family involved?
Who else visited during this period?

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
Interesting question, Inquiring Minds. No answer for you but you can bet she wasn’t alone.
This web of liars becomes more tangled by the hour. There are so many of them! They are literally crawling out from behind the wainscoting. Interestingly, they are all in so deep, now, they have become dependent upon one another to not slip up in order to keep the scam against Johnny going. Lots of power, lots of money, lots of prison time are all on the line as the juggling act becomes more challenging.
Despite all the players’ big grins for their media shots, Stevens’ relentless “shouting” attacks at his Guardian listeners/readers, Julius Robertson’s Godfather demanding Johnny shut down his US case(s?), Jen Robinson so full of herself as she salutes AH’s “courage” and prepares to defend the husband beater in US courts - despite all their efforts, they are starting to make mistakes. All that scrambling yesterday to delete those Twitter comments, photos, and links connecting Nicol’s son with the Defendants in Johnny’s libel suit is just the beginning.
Bottom line: These people are dangerous and determined. The last thing in the world any of them are interested in is the truth. Johnny has been relieved of his humanity courtesy of these amoral parasites. The lot of them have far too much invested in this travesty to try for the straight and narrow this far along.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
Sorry for changing the subject, but could this article mean that the mainstream media will start mentioning the audio tapes - although only one tape in this case - or is it a lone swallow?
In the wake of Johnny Depp's resignation, a movement has risen up against Amber Heard and begun working to get her removed from playing Mera in any further DCEU films, such as the Snyder Cut of Justice League or Aquaman 2. This is due to the allegations that Heard was just as abusive toward Depp as he was towards her and that she may have been the instigator of the physical abuse in their relationship, which Depp reportedly responded to in self-defense. The key piece of evidence here is a recording of a phone conversation between Depp and Heard, in which Heard admitted to having physically assaulted Depp and Depp spoke of trying to prevent further violence between them.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
Meeps where is the article from - I can't get the link to work.
It has always been the most abundantly clear sign that the MSM have been corruptly biased over this issue that many have never printed the story of the tapes.
Whatever you might say about the Daily Mail - they broke it and went with it.
Yesterday I was invited to a webinar which focused on media in the light of the US election - the sentiment of every single speaker including journalists - is that big media has lost so much power. The PR industry relies on a now almost fully paid media industry (this is especially 'print' media) to publish paid-for stories - but essentially all this media is doing is speaking to one another along with a few die hards readers.
People knew about those tapes down to social media - and what is clear from the reaction to the libel judgement is that people knew about them! And those who didn't were very quickly diverted to them. The media has taken an almost universally pro-AH stance; but they have not taken the general public with them.
It is extraordinary that AH can have the entire press with her and claim that JD has launched a huge campaign against her.
All that to say looks like the Times has published a favourable article about Crock of Gold - wonders will never cease!

I'm disgusted by the sentence "Heard was just as abusive toward Depp as he was towards her and that she may have been the instigator of the physical abuse in their relationship, which Depp reportedly responded to in self-defense". Self-defense is not "being as abusive as abuser" . Would they say it about the woman who hits her abusive husband back? No, they would praise her courage. These double standards are horrifying!

Same, Screen Rant is the source, they might have removed the article. Ended up seeing a strongly worded tweet with facts in their direction. Always annoying to see people spreading lies.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
Certainly we all remember this: The Australian Tape. You have to listen carefully, but you can hear an hysterical, uninjured AH clearly worried about what she had done to Johnny. Was this tape also determined worthless by that pinnacle of justice, Mr. Nicol?

Yes, Screen Rant is the source. And according to a Google search on Johnny Depp news I just did they seem to still have it on their site.
I am very sorry the link doesn't work. Could someone else please try to put it up?

Good Morning Zoners!! Hi Meeps! I believe that I found the article that you wanted linked:
It is several articles. Here is the one Meeps referenced, I think:
I quoted it in case it gets removed.
It is several articles. Here is the one Meeps referenced, I think:
Why WB Can't Fire Amber Heard From Aquaman 2 (Or Ask Her To Step Down)
In the wake of Johnny Depp's resignation, a movement has risen up against Amber Heard and begun working to get her removed from playing Mera in any further DCEU films, such as the Snyder Cut of Justice League or Aquaman 2.
While one fan petition to fire Heard from Aquaman 2 has received over 1 million signatures, Warner Bros. cannot fire Heard for the same reasons they could not fire Depp. Typically it is impossible for a studio to break their contract with an actor unless criminal charges have been filed against them. While the court of public opinion may have found Heard guilty of being abusive toward her former husband, the teaming masses have no power in an American civil or criminal court. Likewise, the studio cannot ask Heard to step down as they did Depp, as there has been no civil judgement against her.
This could change if Depp wins his civil suit against Heard and proves to the satisfaction of an American court that she lied about him abusing her or that she painted his acts of self-defense as abuse. For the time being, however, Heard is still lined up to play Mera in Aquaman 2 and Depp is definitely out of Fantastic Beasts 3. The only certainty now is that this matter is unlikely to be settled quickly or quietly.
