Sorry to keep coming back. Aquaman is trending and it's all about getting her fired. Very, very few supportive tweets.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
Thank you everyone who pointed out the appeal process to me.
This evening brings such sad news, but I understand Warner had little choice. I have to admire Johnny once again, he seems calm but focused on his path. And I agree, he basically lived his whole life off-road, only visiting Hollywood/mainstream on occasions.
Regarding the lawsuits, I thought the UK trial was kind of a "test" for the VA trial, and supposedly "easier" to win? Is it really wise to go forward with VA?

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
No it isn't easy at all to win a libel case in the UK, because the defendant only has to satisfy the lowest standard if rely on 'truth'.
The reason it was seen as a slam dunk is because unusually in a DV case, Johnny had a significant body of independent witnesses - police, medical notes, people who no longer worked for him/had never worked for him.
And that was even before you had her own confession on the tapes.
The judge basically undermined the professional integrity of the police and medical staff - he effectively said, without any evidence, that they had done sloppy jobs.
He has no choice but to go on in Virgina.

Another 100k on his instagram.
This support for him is kinda insane and it is stopping me from feeling despair - one of the things I hated about when there was the backlash against him was being in a world where he was loosing support.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
The petition is gathering a lot of speed. The question is, will they keep the scenes he shot in FB3 and reduce his role? Are they recasting for FB4? We don’t have a lot of details. Maybe the window is open for him to return IF he wins in Virginia.
WB have a nasty problem with abuse recently with the JL reshoots and the Ray Fisher situation. Firing a Johnny is a horrible message to send, and a gut punch.
I’m surprised at the assumptions that he wouldn’t want to return though if given the option. He LOVES the role. I can’t imagine how heartbreaking it is for him.
But why would WB let him start shooting if they were waiting, on the off chance he lost, to drop him like a bad habit. Last week, Dan Fogler had a podcast with Jude Law and he said he wanted to bring Johnny on.
So either WB waited for the decision to fire him or they were thinking about it and nobody else knew. Danny Gulliver, who’s the UPM on FB3 liked Johnny’s IG post.
I hope we’ll get something from Jo and others but I expect not. My guess is Jo, Yates and Heyman were overruled by WB.
Johnny is trending like crazy on Twitter, I hope that somehow this could move the needle with WB. What a bunch of cowards.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
I want to fight back. I am cross-eyed angry with Warner Bros, crying angry about all the indignity JD has had to deal with surrounding AH. I will not watch this film without Johnny and I am looking for other things I can do to protest this action. I tweeted Warner Bros. What else are people considering?

See Dan’s comments. Apparently he hasn’t seen Johnny. I know they might not have had a seen together yet but I thought he might have seen him by now.

It’s very hard to wrap my head around the amount of damage she’s done. Glad he’s being strong.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
Thanks for that little bit of a cushion, Lbock. Those words - “They asked him to resign” - it physically hurts to read them knowing it’s Johnny they’re referring to. This is all so hideously wrong.
Like so many, I’m fighting-mad-angry, overwhelmingly sad, and crazy-worried - all at the same time. I’m sitting here hoping and praying Johnny is able to get some sleep and stay focused, maybe even eat a bit.
Two questions:
Does anyone know if he’s staying with Schillings in his request for a UK appeal?
Does anyone know when - or if - he will be coming to the States for the scheduled deposition Nov. 10th - 12th?

Try not to worry. We just have to hang in there to wait for karma to come around, and it will.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
Justintime you've summed up the collision of feelings perfectly.
I assume he will go to the US for the deposition, presumably with renewed determination and fight. I hope we catch a glimpse of him. I wonder then what he'll do - he hasn't been in LA since the COVID nightmare started. I wonder if he will stay away?
Imagine he will stick with Schillings as they know the case intimately. As Brian said - it was not lack of evidence, or bad legal tactics that resulted in this sham.
I think the next few weeks will be legally very interesting I hope we get sight of the arguments - the grounds on which he appeals (it has to be points of law - I am interested in whether they will use of defence of perjury because long though this road seems, her willingness to repeatedly commit perjury is the most likely to get her into serious trouble); and then the rulings in VA. Will we be allowed to hear from Whitney's ex-colleagues who witnessed her reaction to the Australia incident or who heard her talk about Amber's abuse? If the jury hears from one witness (Jennifer) about this - well that's just one person who maybe was upset not to get more of a donation from the divorce. If the jury hears from several people, very similar information - that surely carries more weight.
And then the prize piece of the puzzle. Did she donate the money.
Justintime I hope you can also throw into the mix of emotions the satisfaction/happiness that Johnny is getting so much support right now from the people who he actually cares about - the relatives/bosses. There was an outpouring last night. He was no 1 trending on twitter (all supportive) in the US. They have a contested election on going!
The Aquaman 2 petition added another 30k votes almost; I hadn't realised that the Pirates one has almost a quarter of a million votes; Fantastic Beast is just a tiddler at nearly 10k. L'Oreal has nearly 40k. The one supporting AH for Aquaman has barely added a single name. That tells you everything you need to know really. I assumed it would rapidly rise after the judgement.
I hope Disney and Dior are watching. Please, please keep up any efforts you can to support/stream. (Rango and ATTLG atm).
