To be clear before some folks get the wrong idea. Zack Snyder is, and every single person who works with him and knows him says the same thing, a great, incredibly decent guy. He is currently shooting additional photography for Zack Snyder's Justice League which is his original vision compared to the theatrical cut which was butchered when he had to leave during post production with Joss Whedon reshooting most of it.

Now the thing is, Heard is already in his cut, and shares lengthy, VFX heavy scenes with Momoa, and others with Willem Dafoe and others. So that's non avoidable, they're releasing the cut in a four part miniseries on HBO Max in 2021 but there are thousands of shots being worked on, and a $70 million budget, so it's a big undertaking. Her seemingly being involved (considering it's the trades reporting this (though Variety doesn't name other actors other than Jared Leto) ) is a big surprise because I never imagined Zack would give her the time of day.

As for the background of it:

Zack has been stabbed in the back by WB, and Ray Fisher (who plays Cyborg) actually accused the studio (WB, separate entity to HBO Max) of covering up for Geoff Johns and Joss Whedon's abuse and misconduct on the JL reshoots), leading to an investigation by Warner Media into the whole affair as it concerns multiple people, Jason Momoa actually backed Fisher.

So my guess is it's either incorrect or Zack needs Mera in a scene or more to set up JL2, and since recasting is not a possibility here, he has to have Heard there unfortunately.

On another matter, I know what Qwerty said on Twitter but I was told by someone who's a really reliable scooper that to his knowledge, Heard still has her A2 contract because WB doesn't want to pay her off. If correct, I hope that changes and I can't imagine Johnny not telling the WB higher ups to please get rid of her.

Thank you Newt that's really interesting and makes sense.

I have no inside knowledge but here are some things which would make sense to me:

- If AH was doing any photography reshoots her instagram would be full of pictures of her training, no? Or giving some other hints;

- She clearly has inside relationships with key people in the press - so it doesn't stretch reality that she would have whispered here and there that she is more involved than she is. My understanding was the the Zynder Cut would have more of her in it because her part was cut to one scene in the theatrical release but she filmed more. Frankly, if the standard of her acting is anything like the JL scene .... well brace yourself. I have seen that scene twice - a very well known UK critic here was surely referring to her when he said that one scene in the film was so awful that he assumed someone who turned out to be an actual actor - was computer generated. I had had a similar thought when shown the scene;

- I've never understood the argument about buying her out of her contract. Don't all of these contracts have morality clauses which the studios can fall back on? She's admitted violence, committed perjury etc - they have more than enough to fire her - not to mention the fact that she is so widely disliked. My hunch is that WB is waiting for the outcome of the London case because they don't want a vocal minority of feminazies to say they have not waited for due process;

- And if Aquaman 2 is shooting in Australia - small matter of a perjury issue will surely dog production (pun intended)?

I will never understand people making excuses over Amber Heard. She was in the movie all of 55 seconds. DeFoe Scenes were cut and could replace her scenes per the comic stories. It’s all well and good he supports Fisher, but that just makes him a hypocrite in my book.

The tapes are out. Everyone knows she lied. Her actions caused Hollywood to cancel an innocent man. She did this knowing her star platform reach. No one cared to seek the truth. The LAPD spoke up and that was swept under the carpet. She used victims stories as her own and made money off her fake activism platform. She was the abuser, Johnny is the victim. Now we know the truth and MSM still sweeps it under the rug, Hollywood heavy hitters still aren’t working with Johnny. (That he doesn’t already have a contract with)

Snyder does NOT have to use Amber Heard in new shots or scenes. He now CHOOSES to turn a blind eye and continue to showcase her, god forbid as you said, set her up for future sequels. Stop giving a pass to abusers or to those who chose to support them. Many actors have been replaced in movies, not just for wrong doing, she is a red wig and a stunt double. Snyder has a choice!

THANK YOU, Lbock! You’ve expressed my own disgust with this turn of events in far more eloquent and polite language than I ever could have managed.

The most concerning of your observations, for me, is: “....Hollywood heavy hitters still aren’t working with Johnny. (That he doesn’t already have a contract with)...”

Note: All the highlighting and underlining (and addition of “Snyder” in §1) are my doings - “silent expletives” you might say ...

More filings by Heard in California. She really, really, really doesn't want CHLA or Jen Howell (or ACLU) subpoened. She really doesn't want anyone to know she didn't donate.

Interesting. Whilst it may give AH's few remaining fans a bit of weekend happiness and invited some bitchy comments in the press, I don't see that this makes any practical difference. I know some of Johnny's fans fantasied about Adam questioning AH in the Virginia case but Adam is not a litigator, that was never going to happen and Ben Chew is the lead lawyer for this case, just as David Sherborne was in the UK trial.

What's interesting is that I suspect Adam did indeed take a calculated risk in leaking the tapes - and wow did it pay off. It is without doubt the single biggest turning point in getting the majority of the people on JD's side - even if the press haven't followed suit.

And also interesting in that Adam isn't gagged. Remember he's a Washington lawyer who made his name and money in public affairs. This is what he does, and he's Johnny's personal lawyer.

As an aside, I personally felt he went too far in tweeting stuff during the UK trial (whilst it was ongoing) but I would forgive the man pretty much anything for getting that first tape out. It was genius.

Yep. If she has nothing to hide then there wouldn't the need to quash the subpoenas that would not have to be done in the first place.

Alan Waldman being out of the case with no gag order means he can tweet all he wants now! :biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh:
This is going to get good....Be careful what you wish for Amber.

Benjamin Chew is lead counsel anway in everything in the V.A. case and Adam will still be Johnny's personal attorney.

Adam Waldman is Johnny's hero. MSM refused to report on Johnny's truth and evidence. Adam took a risk, toes to the line if you will, to get those tapes, etc out to the public and turned the tides for Johnny. Everyone knows Amber is the abuser, and a liar!

Agree Lbock. As I said above - he's a public affairs lawyer, not a litigator - he knows the importance of getting a story out and he did just that. It turned the tide of support for Johnny. It's just disappointing in that it gives the haters a sense of victory and takes attention away from the really important things under discussion - why AH isn't showing that she donated the $7 million which she categorically and repeatedly said that she would do, and later that she had done it.

Who is John P. Cogger, whose Declarations seem to figure in support of of AH’s filings?

Bummed out a little about Adam but, going back a little to Snyder, I also see no excuse for keeping this violent, blackmailing scam artist on JL if that is what's happening. If they're just using unused footage from the original shoots to keep Momoa's scenes intact, I suppose that is a cost-saving measure and she may not even get paid for that old work; hoping she doesn't have any deals on JL or Aquaman for residuals/backend profits.

It's not unheard of to replace even the main character during or after filming. Samantha Morton filmed the entirety of Her, only for the director to reshoot all her scenes with Charlize Theron.

It is possible that WB decided it was less expensive for them to let Scamber play Mera in A2 than to buy her out. Her salary for A1 probably wasn't much and no way WB would renegotiate now for more. Another rumor is that there will be 2 more female characters in A2, no doubt taking screentime away from Mera, if she ends up being in A2. Another rumor is that many WB female top execs are #metoo advocates.

Yes, the female executives at Warner Brothers might very well be part of the #metoo movement. But then they should ask themselves "Where are all the other women, who have come forward and said "Me, too" after Amber accused Johnny?"
The location manager Rocky accused JD of being a belligerent diva while drunk or high, but I have seen a picture of him, and he ain't a woman :bigwink:

What happened with Adam is not a set back. He can still advise them and appear for everything because he is still Johnny's personal attorney. Benjamin Chew is the one who has been filing all the papers and doing the depositions.

As for AM2, I have not seen anything official from the stuido confirming she will be in it.

John P. Cogger is a lawyer in California.

He was involved with a subpoena in August (working with "Craig Mariam") to the Eastern Building. It seems like the main focus was the video tapes.
