Amber Heard will have a much different experience when she's in an intimidating courtroom. It'll be nothing like sitting in a lawyer's office when giving her deposition. No chance to pout, get up, cry or refuse to answer. Hopefully, she'll have the bejeezus scared out of her and expose herself as a liar.

Too bad we won't get to see if she rolls her eyes around and looks away at people asking her questions or uses hand gestures. I'm not even sure if all of this will be done in a courtroom and she will be in the same room Johnny is but you're right..it's much different than a deposition and the judge will be watching her every move.

AND he will also know before she sits down that she is above lying to authorities so will probably - hopefully - have that in the back of his mind while listening and watching her body language.

I hope Johnny wins, but not just because I like and respect him.
I hope he wins because the evidence is that he's innocent and if there is anyone guilty of domestic abuse, it's her.
For any man to stand up and admit his wife abused him is brave, but when you're famous it's exceptional.

Unfortunately the #metoo movement, although admirable, has given vermin like Heard a soapbox. And although passionately left wing myself I've become disturbed by some left wing media articles who are still defending Heard.

There is still a chance the case could settle. I know I have been saying that Johnny wants this to go to trial but quite often cases settle right before trial starts because in the end nobody really wants to go trial except the lawyers.

Truth

It is a complete Defence to a Claim to show that the statement is substantially true. If it is substantially true there is no need to show any public interest or whether the Defendant has acted maliciously.

Relying on truth the Defendant will have to show on the balance of probabilities i.e. that it is more likely than not that the allegation is true.

It is not necessary for the Defendant to show that every allegation is true, if there were a number of allegations and some where shown to be true and others where not, but the allegations that were not true did not materially injure the Claimant’s reputation then the Defence will still succeed.

So according to this, NGN only has to prove one of the allegations for Johnny to be a “wife-beater” and not even beyond reasonable doubt.

Even if Johnny wins people are still going to believe what they want to believe and with every article will be the mention of her elaborate hoax. Even if she flat our says she lied about everything it won't change some peoples' minds. People will says he was pressured into admitting it.

I see at least 3 problems with settling the UK lawsuit after getting this far:

1. AH and her friends continued to libel JD after the divorce settlement, which is the reason for the UK and VA lawsuits. What's to stop them this time?

2. Since it was just reported that AH will be assisting The Sun's lawyers in the cortroom and can violate the protective order from the VA litigation, people will call him a coward and liar.

3. Adam Waldman recently remarked that the purpose in continuing with the lawsuit was not only to seek justice for Johnny, but also for AH's other victims. It may look as if JD & team never really cared about the other victims or the cause to take seriously the claims of male victims of female abuse.

However, it's not my money, reputation, career and peace of mind at stake here.

I think the whole PR point on her in the court room was intended to paint him as a coward if there is a settlement. The media already spun that with NGN’s help when the trial was going to obviously be delayed due to COVID

Your other points will be handled via the VA trial. Not to mention how her audios, Kaplan leaving and Amanda will keep her friends from any more libel. I think

In short, whether or not information is buried or travels widely often depends on journalists, activists, and even lawyers putting up a fight to showcase the truth. Let's not forget them.

In my anxious state (last few nights, not sleeping) I keep thinking of random things and last night it was the door which AH said was broken - I believe she said it was the alleged fight on the island. JD's response is that it is not any door on the island but from one of the LA properties. Now that seems like a mad thing to come back on if it isn't true - JD could just have said 'yes it's a damaged door but I didn't damage it'. To say it isn't from the property she claims is quite specific and exactly the sort of detail which could be v important for credibility. Not least because presenting false evidence is surely a very serious matter.

All of which continues to just confuse me as to why this is even still going on. If I can see that it's possible the evidence is flaky - surely the Sun's lawyers can - they are not stupid people!

I wish we knew what was going: and why Adam Waldman 'liked' AH's picnic photo. I had another look - it seems like a lovely sunny day - and we didn't have any of those in London last week - it rained a lot. Maybe I am jumping to conclusions and it was from the week before which was nice weather - but her face looks more like she used to. What on earth is going on????
