Re: The Lawsuits Thread
Isn’t the “statement” taken from her TRO filing?
I saw the Buckley article. I couldn’t bear to post it.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
You’re so very welcome, meeps!
Anything we read that makes us feel a little better about this whole mess, even short term, is probably worth trying to share here. Whether I agree with a post or not, I will forever be grateful for this place, this little speck of respectful sanity, in “these uncertain times.”
Given the seemingly careless oversights by Johnny’s attorney team as a whole, and, more specifically, by Mr. Gilmore’s inability to shift gears when presented with the opportunity during oral argument, there was obviously going to be some deserved finger-wagging and unpleasant decision-making to follow. But to up the learning curve at Johnny’s expense, potentially sparing not an ounce of his long-coveted, hard-earned privacy and dignity, was inexplicable, unnecessary, and (dare I say it) unfair.
Unlike the Defendant, Johnny has never, ever held himself up as better than anyone else nor as more deserving. For nigh onto four years now, though, he literally has been dehumanized by the cowardly, biased and greedy press, pilloried by an illiterate, mob-mentality social media, and emotionally and physically tormented by his morally bankrupt ex-spouse, all virtually nonstop. To receive a merciless, across-the-board blow - rather than a more thoughtful, “surgical”directive - in the one place he has been trusting in his heart as the place where truth and justice might finally find some breathing room and perhaps ultimately prevail - in a court of law - was, imho, unwarranted. Indeed, it sent an unmitigated “Go get him” message to his gleeful opponents, already emboldened by their unchallenged comments to the press.

I agree with you, Ruby Begonia, on all three counts, and am beyond disappointed. I especially found the range of the Judge’s ruling overreaching in every direction.Ruby Begonia wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2019 2:02 pmNobody wants to work with poison. And this request for past partners over 10 years seems excessive and unwarranted. Disappointed that the judge authorized this no matter what Johnny's attorney said.

Beautifully and perfectly said. I would also say it was a “take no prisoners approach” by also invading the privacy of his partners at whatever cost to them. At the very least making them media and paparazzi fodder. Not everyone welcomes the spotlight

Johnny has many high-profile and influential friends and colleagues who are probably supporting him behind the scenes and, like the Vamps and Burton, in public. I hope this current "piling on" will prompt more people to offer their support to him.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
Johnny and his lawyers probably knew this was going to get messy and they know she doesn't have the kind of money she is being sued for. The real issue is the truth and evidence of how she played the media. He has eye witnesses, videos and testimonies, including her own testimony that reveal she has not been truthful and her lies are slowly being exposed. Seems she has no where to go except a sleezey smear campaign because nothing they will get from these productions will prove he was abusive to her. I really hope the powers that be in Hollywood see this crap and we never have to see her face again. Her and Kaplan have sunk to a new low...even for them.

Yes, it could backfire for Amber's team in the sense, that his ex-lovers will laugh in their faces saying "Sweet Johnny abusive? What have you been smoking?" or word to that effect - maybe a bit more polite than thatRuby Begonia wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2019 6:28 pmJohnny has many high-profile and influential friends and colleagues who are probably supporting him behind the scenes and, like the Vamps and Burton, in public. Unfortunately we will properly not hear anything about it in the media if they do It's of course not something her side would want to leak, and unfortunately the media in general wouldn't want to mention it ... So we'll only know they failed, when we hear no more about it.

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
We all knew that AH's team will try everything to get Johnny drop the accusation. And a cornered rat will bite.
Johnnys exe's came forward to defend him in 2016. In all the abuser cases in the last years when someone has been accused others came forward as well with other accusations. But this is not so in Johnnys case. His lawyers might expect everything and Waldman gave a good response. If AH would not have been allowed to go searching for other abused victims, she might still try to play the poor victim who had no chance and has been unfairly treated.
It is hard for us to see how the tabloids help her in that smear campaign. But I hope when the trial is over and Johnny has won his case the wind will change.

Here is the Judge's order. Johnny's team has to produce by November 15. I think asking for certain texts beyond ten years is over burdensome and ridiculous. It just makes them look desperate because they have no defense. I hope Kaplan realizes that if Johnny had given into her extortion there would be no case right now.

10 years of text messages. Can you think of how many phones he has had since then. Even emails, if he doesn't download them aren't keep on Gmail servers, for example, forever.
Found this in several places re text messages
Found this in several places re text messages
Some phone companies also keep records of sent text messages. They sit on the company’s server for anywhere from three days to three months, depending on the company’s policy. Verizon holds texts for up to five days and Virgin Mobile keeps them for 90 days. AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint do not keep the contents of text messages. Once that time period has expired, the company deletes the content of the messages but holds on to the time and date of the text and who it was sent to.
Your phone has limited space but it can still store approximately 1,000 text messages. It completely deletes old text messages after some time

Re: The Lawsuits Thread
Maybe someone on Amber's team actually has a conscience. One of the lawyers is leaving the firm.

Thanks a bunch for that info, ForeverYoung.
Interesting. Hope it actually was a matter of a conflicted conscience.

An attorney leaving a law firm in the middle of a litigation is not a good sign.justintime wrote: ↑Wed Oct 23, 2019 8:55 pm
