Johnny Depp and PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MAN'S CHEST win Spike TV's SCREAM Awards

Spike TV’s 2006 SCREAM Awards, which recognize achievement in the genres of horror, science fiction, fantasy, and comic books, distributed a number of honors to the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN franchise. DEAD MAN’S CHEST won the SCREAM Award in the categories of Best Fantasy Movie, Best Sequel, and Best F/X (special effects), while Johnny Depp was honored for Most Heroic Performance for his reprise of Captain Jack Sparrow. SCREAM voters even honored a POTC film that they haven’t seen yet, as PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: AT WORLD’S END won the Most Anticipated Movie award. Very savvy, these SCREAM voters! Congratulations to Johnny and the cast and crew of DEAD MAN’S CHEST, and congratulations to all those hard at work on AT WORLD’S END for their first award. We hope it’s the first of many. . . .
