THE LIBERTINE is released on DVD in region 1

The many fans in North America who were denied an opportunity to see Johnny Depp’s mesmerizing performance as the second Earl of Rochester at the local movie house can finally see Laurence Dunmore’s THE LIBERTINE, as the film comes out on DVD today. The region 1 DVD includes a commentary track by the director, ten deleted scenes, and “Capturing THE LIBERTINE,” the making-of feature by the Brownlee Brothers that was not included on the UK release. THE LIBERTINE is available from Amazon.com for $14.99 plus shipping; you can order a copy HERE.

If you are interested in movie soundtracks, the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MAN’S CHEST soundtrack is also available today. A spirited debate is already underway regarding whether Hans Zimmer’s score for DEAD MAN’S CHEST equals Klaus Badelt’s memorable music for POTC: THE CURSE OF THE BLACK PEARL. Amazon has the new soundtrack available for $9.99 plus shipping; you can find the listing HERE. Thanks to emma and mytreasure for the news.
