The August issue of the UK film magazine EMPIRE features Captain Jack Sparrow on the cover, and inside the issue, 15 pages of pictures and articles devoted to PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MAN’S CHEST. In other magazine news, FILM FANTASY devotes almost the entire contents of its newest issue to stories about DEAD MAN’S CHEST and other pirate lore, including a long interview with writer Terry Rossio. There are some great pictures here . . . . The July GQ has a thoughtful five-page retrospective of Johnny Depp’s career, and Film Review International has a great cover photo of Captain Jack and a good article on DEAD MAN’S CHEST by Harry Haun.
