Johnny Depp’s Captain Jack Sparrow has sailed into the ranks of the greatest family films ever made, according to a UK poll conducted for Channel 4. PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN placed fourth in the survey, bested only by ET: THE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL, SHREK, and MARY POPPINS, and outpolling such family favorites as TOY STORY, THE LION KING, and THE WIZARD OF OZ. Congratulations to Captain Jack! Such news bodes well for his return in July.
