RANGO wins 4 Annie Awards, including Best Animated Feature! Congratulations!

In a ceremony Saturday at UCLA’s Royce Hall, the International Animated Film Society, ASIFA-Hollywood presented the Annie Award for best animated feature to Gore Verbinski’s Rango. The Oscar-nominated Western homage about a pet chameleon who becomes sheriff of a small town named Dirt features an impeccable voice cast that includes Johnny Depp, Isla Fisher, Bill Nighy, Abigail Breslin, and Alfred Molina. Rango topped an impressive field that included Kung Fu Panda 2, Puss in Boots, Cars 2, Rio, and The Adventures of Tintin.

Rango also won Annie Awards for character design for Mark “Crash” McCreery; writing for John Logan, Verbinski and James Byrkit; and editing for Craig Wood. A stellar showing for the Rango team — congratulations to all!
