In the question-and-answer section of Disney’s 4th quarter Earnings Call transcript, published on November 12th, Benjamin Swinburne of Morgan Stanley asks Mr. Iger, “[W]hat is the timing of Pirates 4?“

Mr. Iger replies, “First of all, on Pirates 4, we are close to naming a director. Johnny Depp is very much on board and we expect to be commencing shooting with Pirates 4 sometime in the Spring, and so that is all good news.” Agreed!
