Johnny Depp donates artwork for UK Guardian's 2008 Christmas appeal
Johnny Depp has donated an original portrait of singer-songwriter Patti Smith (a member of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame) to the Guardian (UK) 2008 Christmas appeal. The artwork, painted on a page of the Guardian dated April 30, 2007 (during the filming of Sweeney Todd), will be auctioned to the highest bidder via Ebay.uk, and was also featured as part of the Guardian’s Christmas wrapping paper project.
