Johnny Depp continued his fantastic string of successes at the People’s Choice Awards, winning this year’s award for Favorite Movie Actor! Congratulations! Other nominees for Favorite Movie Actor were Daniel Radcliffe, Hugh Jackman, Robert Pattinson, and Ryan Reynolds. Johnny also triumphed in a new category this year: he won Favorite Animated Movie Voice for his work as the title character in Rango. Other nominees were Anne Hathaway for Rio, Jack Black for Kung Fu Panda 2, Katy Perry for The Smurfs, and Owen Wilson for Cars 2. You wouldn’t have known about Johnny’s wins from watching the two-hour awards show on CBS on Wednesday night, however, since Johnny was not present at the ceremony and neither category was mentioned on the air.
