December 8, 1993 – Knight Ridder, by Judy Gerstel — This interview during the promotion for What’s Eating Gilbert Grape finds Johnny pondering turning 30.
April 6, 1995 – Orange County Register, by Barry Koltnow — Dating from the promotion for Don Juan de Marco, Koltnow’s article has the charming details of how Johnny Depp lobbied for Marlon Brando to be cast in the film. It will make you want to watch Don Juan de Marco again.
