PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 4: ON STRANGER TIDES adds new cast members

As director Rob Marshall gets closer to the start of filming the 4th installment of the blockbuster Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, On Stranger Tides, Production Weekly and Film blog are reporting the addition of three new cast members, all British actors. Best known to Deppheads is Stephen Graham, who worked with Johnny Depp on Public Enemies and was featured prominently in the recently released “Unloveable” video that Johnny directed for Babybird. Graham will portray a character named (we’re not kidding) “Scram,” so we’ll guess he’s not a member of the aristocracy. Pirate, perhaps?

Also in talks to join the cast of On Stranger Tides are Max Irons, the 24-year-old son of Oscar winner Jeremy Irons and Sinéad Cusack, and Sam Claflin, who is currently filming the British television series The Pillars of the Earth in Budapest. No details about their roles are available. Graham, Irons, and Clafin will join Johnny Depp, Geoffrey Rush, Penelope Cruz and Ian McShane (as Blackbeard) in a swashbuckling adventure connected to the Fountain of Youth.
