PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MAN'S CHEST nominated for five Saturn awards

The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror films has announced the nominations for the 33rd Annual Saturn Awards, and box-office champion PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MAN’S CHEST received a nod as Best Fantasy Film–congratulations! Other films receiving nominations were CHARLOTTE’S WEB, ERAGON, NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM, STRANGER THAN FICTION, and SUPERMAN RETURNS. Congratulations also to Bill Nighy, who was nominated as Best Supporting Actor for his role as undersea nemesis Davy Jones. Penny Rose received a nomination for Best Costume, and Ve Neill and Joel Harlow for Best Makeup; John Knoll, Hal Hickel, Charles Gibson and Allen Hall were nominated for Best Special Effects. We send our applause and best wishes to all of these gifted artists.

Nominees have quite a while to wait to learn the results; the Saturn Awards will be presented at a ceremony in Universal City on Thursday, May 10, 2007.
