Disney made the return of Captain Jack Sparrow official today, announcing that Pirates of the Caribbean 5 will sail into movie theaters on July 10, 2015. “Johnny Depp will return for the next installment,” reports Pamela McLintock of the Hollywood Reporter, “although no director is yet attached.” This news follows quickly after Disney’s confirmation that Jeff Nathanson had been hired to write the Pirates 5 script.
