Welcome to 2012 to Zoners everywhere! The new year promises to bring wonderful moments to those who follow Johnny Depp’s career; we’re looking forward to seeing Johnny play the role of Tonto in Gore Verbinski’s new version of The Lone Ranger, with Armie Hammer as the Ranger, and Helena Bonham Carter and Tom Wilkinson heading the supporting cast. Filming will begin in February; hi-ho, Silver! February will also bring the release of The Rum Diary on Blu-ray and DVD, for your viewing pleasure. And in May we’ll see the theatrical release of the long-anticipated film update of Dark Shadows, directed by Tim Burton and starring Johnny as the iconic vampire Barnabas Collins. And that’s just what the first half of 2012 has waiting in the wings!
