BREAKING NEWS–Johnny Depp arrives on the red carpet in Chicago!

Here it is . . . our first glimpse of Johnny Depp on a red carpet to promote his new film, Public Enemies. Although official sources don’t call tonight’s event in Chicago a “premiere”–it’s a special screening with “a red carpet event,” according to one Chicago newspaper–it is always thrilling to see Johnny Depp. We don’t care if it’s called Sunday school or a temperance rally, as long as JD is there . . . .

Ever the chameleon, Johnny’s appearance has changed in the week since we last saw him, celebrating his birthday in Puerto Rico as The Rum Diary finished shooting. The Paul Kemp sunglasses are gone, replaced by JD’s more familiar blue lenses, and Johnny is sporting facial hair rather than a clean-shaven jaw.
