"I'd love to do it, but –" Johnny Depp's latest comments on PIRATES 4

MTV News asked Johnny Depp about the status of Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides during Johnny’s recent trip to New York. According to MTV’s Eric Ditzian, Johnny “hasn’t seen a script. He’s unsure of what the story line will be. And while he’s keen to step into the boots of pirate Jack Sparrow once again, he stopped well short of making a 100 percent commitment to return.”

Instead, Johnny gave a cautious response when asked if he could “assure the public” that he would be back as Captain Jack Sparrow. “The thing is, I’d love to do it,” Johnny said . . . but then he added several stipulations: “If there’s a script and a story that is outside of what we’ve done before and it’s worthy of the audience’s attention, I would definitely do it.” Sounds like the script is the key to this puzzle!
