Having signed hundreds of autographs for fans at the European premiere of PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MAN’S CHEST in Leicester Square yesterday, Johnny Depp ventured out into central London today, July 4, where he was snapped by the paparazzi as he–what else?–signed autographs . . . . Johnny was wearing his orange Gonzo shirt, his aviator sunglasses, and his grey fedora. His next public event is the DEAD MAN’S CHEST premiere in Paris on Thursday, July 6th, at the Cinema Gaumont Marignan on the Champs Elysees. The many fans in North America who were denied an opportunity to see Johnny Depp’s mesmerizing performance as the second Earl of Rochester at the local movie house can finally see Laurence Dunmore’s THE LIBERTINE, as the film comes out on DVD today. The region 1 DVD includes a commentary track by the director, ten deleted scenes, and “Capturing THE LIBERTINE,” the making-of feature by the Brownlee Brothers that was not included on the UK release.
