Miramax to open THE LIBERTINE in limited U.S. release on August 19th!

For those eagerly awaiting any and all news of THE LIBERTINE, Shadow reports that the movie website comingsoon.net now carries August 19, 2005 as the date of the film’s U.S. opening. The release will be limited,however, which probably means only a few arthouses in major cities. Still, we are grateful for any chance to see Johnny Depp’s performance as the “scandalously decadent John Wilmot, the second Earl of Rochester.” That’s from comingsoon’s description of the film; you can read all they have to say HERE.
